in/" - inches ()- repeat what is between the parentheses as many times as indicated CO - cast on k- knit k2tog - knit two stitches together p-purl s2k2p - slip 2 together at the same time as if to k2tog, knit 1, pass the slipped stitches over the knit stitch (double decrease)

Okay, so it doesn't have to be a dude hat. Obviously ladies can rock this hat too, but we all know there is a lack of guy hats out there, so I thought why not throw my go-to dude hat into the mix? This is a super simple hat that knits up pretty quickly. I finished mine in one day! If you've got a dude-ish guy on your Knit List, why not give this one a shot?

CO 88, place marker and join in the round. Work in k1, p1 ribbing for 2 inches. Rnd 1-2: k all 3-4: (k1, p1) repeat until end Repeat Rnds 1-4 until hat measures 7 inches. Decreases Dec Rnd 1: k4, s2kp, (k8, s2kp) repeat until 4 stitches remain, k4 2: k all 3-4: (k1, p1) repeat until end 5: k3, s2kp, (k6, s2kp) repeat until 3 stitches remain, k3 6: k all 7-8: repeat Rnds 3-4 9: k2, s2kp, (k4, s2kp) repeat until 2 stitches remain, k2 10: k1, s2kp, (k2, s2kp) repeat until 1 stitch remains, k1 11: (s2kp) repeat until end Weave in ends and block gently.
