By Cori Eichelberger Yarn: approximately 400 yards heavy weight yarn that will obtain gauge and approximately 160 yards of fur in a contrast color The sample was knit with Lion Boule' Multi Color #201 Sprinkles (6 skeins) and Fun Fur #195 hot pink (2 skeins) Needles: Size 11 - 24-inch circular needle Size 11 - 16-inch circular needle Size 11 double pointed needles Notions: 2 markers 6 “potato chip" buttons
Gauge: $10\;\mathrm{{sts}=4^{\circ}}$ in St st. OR 2.5 stitches to the inch

Abbreviations: $\mathsf{C O}=$ cast on $\mathsf{P}=\mathsf{p u r l}$ St st $=$ stockinette stitch $\mathsf{C C}\mathsf{1}=$ contrast color #1 PU& $\mathsf{K}=$ pick up and knit $\mathsf{K}=\mathsf{k n i t}$ $12\mathrm{tog}=1$ knit two stitches together $\mathsf{M C=}$ main color $\mathsf{M}\mathsf{1}=$ make one stitch (any method) $\mathsf{S S K=}$ slip 1 stitch, slip another stitch, knit the 2 stitches together thru the back The back and both fronts are worked simultaneously to the armholes. Cast on 83 stitches with two strands of fur. Row 2: Add one strand of MC to Fun Fur and K3, PM, knit to within last three stitches, PM, K3, knit together in stockinette stitch with Fun Fur for three rows. ALWAYS, knit the first and last three stitches of each row. Buttonholes will be made on row 6, 22, 38, 54,70,86. Row 5: Drop Fun Fur, cut and weave in ends, continue knitting in stockinette stitch with MC for 23 inches (approximately 80 rows). Row 6: Make buttonhole, purl to second marker, cast off twp stitches, k1. Row 7: K1, M2, knit to end. (Repeat button holes as listed on rows above.) At 23 inches, divide for two fronts and back. K23 stitches for right front, turn, K3 and purl back. Continue to keep three stitches in garter stitch at beginning of each Shape armhole: K1, SSK, knit to end. K3, and purl row. K1, SSK, knit to end K3, and purl row. K1, SSK, knit to end. Continue in St St until entire piece measures 30 inches. Repeat above but reverse shaping for left front. Shape back: K1, SSK, knit to within three sts and K2tog, K1. Purl one row. K1, SSK, knit to within three sts and K2tog, K1. Purl one row. K1, SSK, knit to within three sts and K2tog, K1. Purl one row. Continue in St st until piece measures 31 inches. Knit 13 stitches, cast off 33 stitches and knit 13 stitches. On approximately row 90, make last buttonhole and start neck shaping. Right Front: Cast off five stitches and knit remaining 15 Purl one row K1, SSK, knit to end. Purl one row K1, SSK, knit to end 13 sts remain on right front. Left Front: Cast off five stitches and knit remaining 15 sts K1, K2tog, knit to end. Purl one row K1, K2tog, knit to end 13 sts remain on left front. With right side facing, knit shoulder seams together using three needle bind off Sleeves: On 16-inch circular needle, pick up and knit 50 sts around sleeve opening. Place marker at underarm. Working downward, decrease 2 stitches at armhole marker (one before, SSK and one after, K2tog) every other row 10 times and every $3^{\mathsf{r d}}$ row4 times. Change to double pointed needles when necessary. Work until sleeve equals 14 inches. Repeat for second sleeve. On approximately row 41 or 14 inches, add two strands of Fun Fur to MC and knit two rows. Drop MC and knit with Fun Fur for one row. Cast off. Weave in ends. Collar: On left front, pick up and knit approximately sts around collar end. Purl one row.Next row: $^{\star}\mathsf{K}3$ , M1\* around. Purl one row. Knit one row. Purl one row. Knit one row. Add two strands of Fun Fur to MC and continuing in St St complete three rows. Drop MC and knit one row with Fun Fur only. Cast off. Weave in ends.
Hat Directions:
With size 16-inch circular needle and using two strands of Fun Fur held together with one strand of MC, cast on 52 sts. Join, being careful not to twist and continue working in the round for approximately five rows. Drop Fun Fur and continue until piece measures six inches. In next round: $^{\star}\mathsf{K}\mathsf{5}$ , K2tog\* around, end K2 then knit one round plain $\star\mathsf{K}4$ , K2tog\* around, end K3 then knit one round $^{\star}\mathsf{K}3$ , K2tog\* around, end K2 then knit one round $^{\star}\mathsf{K}2$ , K2tog\* around, end K2 then knit one round \*K1, K2tog\* around, end K2 then \*K2tog\* around Cut yarn, draw through remaining sts and secure using tapestry needle.
