Stawamus Fingerless Mitts Pattern: Inspired by The Chief in Squamish, BC - Bulky Yarn Garter Stitch Design

Stawamus was inspired by my window view of The Chief in Squamish, BC, my new home. Its powerful energy brought me inspiration and higher vibrations. Getting ready for Fall made me create those gorgeous fingerless mitts. Hiking on a beautiful day with my family while feeling the warm confort of a soft wool is the perfect way of enjoying these babies. Gauge: 3 sts in 1inch. in Stockinette St. Yarn: Any bulky yarn will do. Choose a fluffy, soft one you love! Needles: US 10 (6.0mm) double pointed needles. Materials: darning needle and wood buttons if desired. About 1/2 inch wide. Final measurements: 7" in lenght; 6" around. Pattern: Garter St. in the round. (K one round, P one round.) Follow the pattern: CO 24 (make two the same) Divide the stitches evenly on three needles. Join in the round, careful not to twist stitches. Work in Garter St. for 5 inches. Next round: bind off 4 sts; work in pattern around. Next round: Using backwards loop method, cast on 4 stitches; work in pattern around. Keep working in Garter St. until peace measures 7" or desired lenght. Bind off loosely. Weave in ends. Attach buttons. Et voila!
