This garment is worked flat and then seamed.

Materials: Kauni Effectgram - 100 gr (black-white colourway, winded it 2 balls, with white section separated for the contrast stripes). You can also use Kauni Effectgram as a basic colour and other yarn of contrast colour with suitable yardage and gauge. Possible yarn substitutions: Aade Long Artistic/Aade Long Solid, Noro Flowerbed - for basic colour. Tension: 21 sts and 44 rows over striped pattern make up 10x10 square after washing. Note: Striped pattern forms wider fabric then stockinet stitch. Please keep it in mind when knitting or recalculating. Stitches used: 2x2 rib, stockinet stitch, striped pattern with dropped stitches

Striped pattern:

R. 1 (Main colour) - knit R. 2 (Main colour) - purl R. 3-4 - repeat rows 1-2. R. 5-8 (contrasting colour): as rows 1-4 R. 9 (main colour): k3, \*knit next stitch picking up the stitch 4 rows below (you should always pick up the stitch in other colour then you are using in the current row), k3\* (repeat between \*\*), end with k3 R.10 - purl R.11-12 - as rows 3-4 R 13 (main colour): k1, \*knit next stitch picking up the stitch 4 rows below (you should always pick up the stitch in other colour then you are using in the current row), k3\*, end with knit next stitch picking up the stitch 4 rows below, k1. R 14 -purl Rows 15-16 - as rows 3-4 Repeat Rows 9-16 indicated in the pattern below number of times. Needles: US 4 - 3.5 mm needles. Note: the wrong side of the fabric in this pattern will be the right side of the ready garment. So please keep wrong side of the fabric neat.

Snood

With 3.5 mm needles and main colour cast on 150 sts. Work in rib as follows: Row 1: K2, \*P2, K2\*, repeat \*\* to the end. Row 2: P2, \*K2, P2\*, repeat \*\* to the end. Work as set in rib for 4 more rows. Attach contrast colour yarn, work in striped pattern for 16 rows (last 4 rows are worked with main yarn). Work in stockinet stitch with main colour for 4 rows. \*Attach contrast colour yarn, work in striped pattern for 8 rows (last 4 rows are worked with main yarn). Work in stockinet stitch with main colour for 12 rows.\* Repeat \*\* once more. Attach contrast colour yarn, work in striped pattern for 8 rows (last 4 rows are worked with main yarn). Work in stockinet stitch with main colour for 4 rows. In the last row evenly decrease 6 sts. - 114 sts. Attach contrast colour yarn, work in striped pattern for 16 rows. Next row: P2, \*K2, P2\*, repeat \*\* to the end. Work as set in rib for 4 more rows. Cast off in rib on the RS of work. Break off yarn. Make a seam using mattress seam preferably. Weave in ends.
