Lacy Reticule pattern by Tracey Withanee

The Lacy Reticule is a graceful knitted accessory worked in the round from the bottom up. Craft it in one colour to make an elegant drawstring purse. Or, use remnants in several shades to create an eclectic carryall. Supplies: approximately 180 yards of dk, 3.75mm circular needle, stitch markers Gauge: 21sts=4" in stockinette Finished Measurements: base = 6.5" diameter, 9.5" high (from base to cast off edge) This pattern makes use of the magic loop technique for knitting in the round. Circular base:
Cast on 12 stitches and divided between 2 needles. Row 1: pm, and join to knit one round Row 2: (k1, kfb, pm) repeat to end of round (omit last pm) Row 3: (sm, K2, kfb) repeat to end of round Row 4: (sm, K3, kfb) repeat to end of round Tip: use a different stitch marker to note the beginning of the round. Continue in this manner increasing by one the number of knit stitches preceding each kfb on every row until there are a total of 18 stitches within each of the six sections of the circle (108 sts). Next row: knit 1 round removing all markers except one that marks the beginning of the round.
