Materials
Needles: Size 6 (circular or DPNs) Gauge: 22 st and 28 rows to 4 inches of stockinette Yarn: 3 skeins of Madelinetosh Tosh Merino DK. Two in Antique Lace (grayish pink) and one in Byzantine (dark red). Dk weight, 100% merino single ply, 225 yards per skein. I didn't use even half of my complementary color yarn, so you could probably get away with anywhere from a quarter to a half skein if you didn't want to purchase a third skein of yarn. Skills: Knitting in the round, provisional caston, Kitchener stitch, stranded colorwork Etc: Darning needle
Abbreviations
MC: Yarn in the main color you have chosen (grayish pink yarn pictured) CC: Yarn in the coordinating color you have chosen (dark red yarn pictured)
Notes
This pattern involves stranded colorwork. When you are working a colorwork row, let the yarn you are not currently using hang in the back of the work. When it comes time to use that yarn again, do not pull too tightly. Give it some room to breathe. :)
