Copyright @ 2013 Angela Cadle Materials needed: Size 10 thread Size 7 hook Needle Stitches used - sl st, sc, dc, trc, picot, and a lark's head is used to form the tassel. Notes: Pineapple will ruffle/cup until blocked. Recipe: Ch 8, join to form a ring. R1 Ch 2, 16 dc in ring, working over loose end as you go. Ch 1, turn.16 dc. R2 Sc into same st as ch-1, (ch 3, sc in next sc) 15 times. Turn. R3 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 14 times. Turn. R4 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop, (Ch 3. sc into next loop) 13 times. Turn. R5 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 12 times. Turn. R6 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 11 times. Turn. R7 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 10 times. Turn. R8 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 9 times. Turn. R9 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 8 times. Turn. R10 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 7 times. Turn. R11 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 6 times. Turn. R12 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 5 times. Turn. R13 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 4 times. Turn. R14 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 3 times. Turn. R15 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. (Ch 3, sc into next loop) 2 times. Turn. R16 Sl st into first loop, ch 1, sc into same loop. Ch 3, sc into next loop Turn. Edging Sl st into loop. Beg shell (ch 2, 2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc), sc in end loop on R15, shell in end loop of Rnd 14, alternate this sequence 5 more times, ending on the end loop of Rnd 3 with a sc. Shell on end of Rnd 2, sc in ch 8 loop, dc, 3 trc, ch 2, dc in top of last trc just made, ch 2, sl st in top of same trc, 3 trc, dc, sc in ch 8 loop,. Shell in end of Rnd 2, sc in end of Rnd 3, continue in this alternating manner ending with a sc in end of R15. Sl st to beg shell. Sl st into next 2 dc's, and in next 2 ch's, sl st into ch Ip. (Ch 4, sl st into 3rd ch from hook) 10 times, or until desired length is reached. Ch 11, sc in 10th ch from hook, sl st around chain, just above loop just formed, sl st into loop. Ch 1, 16 sc into loop, sl st to 1st sc. Finish off, weave inends. Tassel Cut 10-15 strands of thread, (depending on how full you want your tassel), about 11 inches long, (again, depending on how long you like the tassel). Holding these strands together, fold in half, forming a loose loop in the middle. Draw this loop through the sc loop on the end of the pineapple tail, and form a lark's head knot. Pull tightly, trim ends.
