Instructions:
With mC cast on lo0sely 22/24/26/28 sts, then using CC cast on loosely 44/48/52/56 sts, then using a new ball in MC cast on loosely 22/24/26/28 sts: 88/96/104/112 sts ! Throughout the entire piece unless otherwise noted: slip the first stitch of every row knitwise with yarn in back and knit the last stitch of every row. Row 1(RS): slip first stitch knitwise with yarn in back, then k 21/23/25/27 sts in MC, then overlapping the strands on the ws, knit following 44/48/52/56 sts in CC, then overlapping the strands on the ws, knit the following 22/24/26/28 in MC.

Row 2 (ws): slip first stitch knitwise with yarn in back, then purl 21/23/25/27 sts in MC, then overlapping the strands on the ws, purl following 44/48/52/56 sts in CC, then overlapping the strands on the wS, purl the following 21/23/25/27 sts in MC, knit the Iast stitch. Repeat row 1 and row 2 until your piece measures 10/10.5/11/11.5" from cast on edge ending on a ws row. Make a note of the row count:.....rows
Dividing for neck opening:
RS Row: work 42/46/50/54 sts. Slip next stitch purlwise with yarn in back to right hand needle, transfer next stitch from left hand needle purlwise to cable needle and hold to back, then transfer the slipped stitch tip to tip (which is on right hand needle) back to left hand needle. K2tog, place a stitch marker on right hand needle, then transfer the stitch from cable needle tip to tip back to left hand needle, ssk, work to end of row. You will have 43/47/51/55 sts on each side of stitch marker.

!From now on both sides will be worked separately until they get combined again for the opposite side of shoulder/sleeve part. You can continue to work on one needle or transfer the stitches (= from the beginning of the RS row to marker) on a stitch holder. With the yarn still attached you will be working on the Front piece now. Please make a note of the rows (#)you are working from now on so back and front neck opening will measure the same length (you can also place a safety pin on the purl side above the last row worked. It will be easier to count the rows on the purl side).

Continue to work in established knit and purl rows until you have the same amount of rows as on the opposite site. Then bind off as described below.
Bind Off Row (WS):
Change colors as you go. P2, \*insert left hand needle into front of both stitches and knit them together through the back of the loops. Repeat from \* to last 2 sts: p2 together then insert left hand needle into front of both stitches and knit them together through the back of the loops. Cut yarn and pull the loop through.
Finishing:
This ribbon yarn is a knitted "tube'". When weaving in the ends you can unravel this yarn by pulling on one end until you see a thread. Sometimes it takes several trials. Give the edge a new cut before trying again.

CLOSINGOFTHESIDESEAM:
The side seams are not closed directly at the edges but about 6 rows in with a whip stitch. The edges will curl out. Close the seam from the bottom edge to the point where the color changes. Secure and weave in ends. (see next page)

BLOCKING:
Soak the entire piece in lukewarm water, then roll up between a towel. Pull in shape and let dry hanging on a larger sized hanger.
SCHEMATICS FOR SIZES S/M/L/XL:
