With size US 2 $(2.75\mathrm{mm})\,32"\,(81.5\mathrm{cm})$ circular needles and size US 3 ( $1.85\mathrm{mm})$ steel crochet hook cast-on 212 sts using waste yarn as follows: Invisible crochet cast-on: make a slip knot with waste yarn and place on size US 3 ( $1.85\mathrm{mm})$ steel crochet hook. \*Yarn over the size US 2 $(2.75\mathrm{mm})\,32"\,(81.5\mathrm{cm})$ circular knitting needle, catching the yarn with the crochet hook and pull through to make a chain st; repeat from\* for a total of 212 sts. Finishing:
Carefully remove waste yarn from cast on edge, placing sts on size US 2 (2.75mm) 32" (81.5cm) circular needle. Begin finishing work with size US 4 ( $\left\lfloor1.75\mathrm{mm}\right\rangle$ steel crochet hook and right side facing you. Left edge: Work approx. 248 sc sts along edging (including casing). Do not break yarn. Bottom edging: (Note: join crochet edging to knitted lace body as follows: Insert crochet hook into the back of the number of sts to be worked together in one single crochet. Complete single crochet st before slipping the sts off the knitting needle.) Chain 7 sts, sc 4 sts together from lace, \*chain 7 sts, sc 3 sts together from lace; repeat, ending with sc last 4 sts together from lace. Do not break yarn. Right edge: Work approx. 248 sc sts along edging (including casing). Break yarn, leaving $8"$ $20.25\mathrm{cm})$ tail. Do not weave in ends until lace is blocked.
Blocking:
Hand wash lace in warm water with a mild shampoo. Rinse, using cool water. Blot (do not wring) water out. Roll up lace in a clean dry towel, pressing down to remove water. Unroll lace and place on a towel with right side up. Insert blocking wires in all edges and stretch out to finished measurements, securing wires with pins. Allow to dry completely. Weave in ends. Fold casing over and stitch in place.
