American Hat Crochet Pattern
I was searching the web and noticed a couple of American/ Patriotic hats out there and though I would put one together myself. I hope you enjoy it. Size: This is a baby size 9-12 months Note: You can always add stitches to make this bigger.
Materials:
I just used what I had in my yarn collection I used a worsted weight yarn. I use mostly Red Heart Super Saver yarn. They seem to have all the colors under the moon for a great price. I used a Red, White and Blue Size H/8 - 5.00 Hook TapestryNeedle The glitter stars I found in my button collection. I'm not sure where those were purchased, sorry

Magic Ring ST= Stitch SC= Single Crochet Kitty's Kreations Boutique DC = Double Crochet HDC= Half Double Crochet TC=Triple Crochet
American Hat Crochet Patter:
Starting with the BLUE Color Magic Ring, 11 DC in magic ring, join to first DC, chain 2 Round 2: 2 DC in each stitch all the way around, join, CH 2 Round 3: 2 DC in first st, single DC in next st, repeat around, join, CH 2 Round 4: 2 DC in first st, single DC in next 2 sts, repeat around, join, CH 2 Round 5: 2 DC in first st, single DC in the next 10 sts, repeat around, join, CH 2 Change yarn color to wHITE Round 6: 2 DC in first st, single DC in the next 11 sts, join, CH 2 Change yarn color to RED Round 7: 2 DC in first st, single DC in next 12 sts, join, CH 2 Chand color to WHITE Round 8-13: DC in each st around, alternate between WHitE and RED on each round, join, fasten off and weave in ends
Small Star Pattern:
Chain 4, join with SL ST to make α ring Round 1: First Point [ TC, CH 1 and SL ST in the center of ring] repeat this 4 more times to create 5 points Fastenoff and weave inends
Larger Star Pattern:
Starting with a Magic Ring, 11 SC in ring Starting in first ST, CH 4, SC ST in 2nd CH from hook, HDC, then DC, Skip 1 ST, SL ST to 3rd ST, repeat until 5 points are complete, join, fasten off and weave in ends. With either RED or BLUE SC around entire star, join, fasten off and weave in ends. Attach stars where you would like All Done! I hope you enjoy it. Thank you again Kat
