1 ball of Socks that Rock in Hard Rock. Note:
I worked mine on dpn's My first needle had 6 stitches on it , the second needle had 6 stitches and the 3rd needle had 12 stitches on them when starting the toe. When starting the leg pattern change to larger sized needles. The pattern pulls the stitches in and creates a tighter tension so I highly recomend going up a needle size. I used a size Us2 for the leg/cuff. When making the wraps in chartA on round 7 try and wrap them with even tension. The red border in chartA represents the beginning of the repeat round. The purple border represents the stop round on the last repeat of chartA. Directions:
With size US1 Using Judy's magic cast on or a figure 8 . Cast on a total of 24 sts (12 on one needle and 12 on the other needle) Round 1-Knit Round 2- Knit2, K2tog. knit to last 4 stitches on needle2 ,ssk, knit 2. Knit 2 K2tog. Knit to last three stitches on third needle , ssk, K2. Repeat round1 and round2 till a total of 64 stitches.
Foot:
work in stocking stitch till 2 inches less than desired length (measured from beginning of toe) Heel worked across the next 32 stitches Knit across to last stitch on needle w&t Slip 1 , purl across to last stitch on needle w&t Slip 1 Knit across to stitch before wrapped stitch from row below w&T slip 1 purl across to stitch before wrapped stitch from row below w&t Continue this way (slipping first stitch and wrapping and turning the stitch before wrapped stitch from previous row till there is 12 unwrapped stitches and 10 wrapped stitches on both sides of the unwrapped stitches. Next row will be a R.sS. Slip 1 Knit to wrapped stitch. Knit the wrap together with the stitch, turn Slip 1 purl to wrapped stitch. Purl the wrap together with the stitch, turn Continue this way till all wrapped stitches have been worked. Next row will be a R.s. Slip 1, Knit 15, PM, K16, P.u. 1, Knit the pu st together with the next stitch, knit 31, p.u.1, knit that st. with next stitch, k15

Do set up round as follows: p1, k8, p1, kitbl, p1, kitbl, p1, k16, p1, kitbl, p1, kitbl, p1, k16, p1, kitbl, p1, kitbl, p1, k8 Work leg chartA rounds 1 through 20 once , then work rounds 7 through 16 once, and then work chartB rounds 1 through 4 once.
