FINISHED SIZE: 6" square STITCH GUIDE: Sc= single crochet Hdc= half double crochet Dc= double crochet MATERIALS: Worsted Weight Yarn 2 Colors:A, B Crochet Hook size I / 5.5mm
SPECIAL STITCHES:
Beg popcorn (beg pc): Ch 3 (counts as dc), 4 dc in same st as joining st, drop Ip from hook, insert hook from front to back through top of beg ch-3 then in dropped Ip, yo and draw through Ip and ch on hook. Popcorn (pc): 5 dc in next st, drop Ip from hook, insert hook from front to back in first dc of the pc then in dropped Ip, yo and draw through Ip and St.
COMMENCEPATTERN:
Rnd 1: With A, ch 4, 15 dc in 4th ch from hk, (rem ch-3 of beg ch-4 count as 1 dc), join with sl st in top of beg dc, finish off Color A. (16 dc) Rnd 2: Attach Color B with sl st to any dc, work Beg pc, 2 dc in next dc, \*pc (see above) in next dc, 2 dc in next dc, rep from \* around, join with sl st in top of beg pc, finish off Color B. (8 pc) Rnd 3: Attach Color A with sl st to any st, ch 4 (count as 1 dc, ch 1), dc in next st, ch 1, [dc in next st, ch 1] rep around , join with sl st to 3'd ch of beg ch-4, finish off Color A. (24 dc, 24 ch-1 sps) Rnd 4: Attach Color B with sl st to any ch-1 sp, ch 2, hdc in same sp, 2 hdc in each ch-1 sp around, join with sl st to beg ch-2. (48 hdc) Rnd 5: [Beg pc, ch 4, pc] in same st as join, \*ch 2, skip 1 st,hdc in next 2 sts, sc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, ch 2, skip 1 st\*\* in next st work [pc, ch 4, pc] corner made, rep from \* 3 times more ending last rep at \*\*, join with sl st to top of first pc. Finish off Color B. (9 sts on each side) Rnd. 6: Attach Color A with sl st to any ch-4 sp, ch 3 (count as dc), in same sp work (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc), \*2 dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in next 9 sts, 2 dc in next ch-2 sp,\*\* in next ch-4 sp work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc), rep from \* 3 times more ending last rep at \*\*, join with sl st to beg dc.
