K1P1 rib st in the round for 9 rows 2. K10, right-slanted increase, K, bar increase 1 (K in front then back of same loop), left-slanted increase, K 10 for total of 25 sts [these are tough to do, so persevere] 3. K 4. K11, right-slanted increase, K, right-slanted increase, K [axis st], left-slanted increase, K,leftslanted increase, K11 for total of 29 sts [again tough to get those increases in. Work at tips of needles] 5. K 6. K14, right-slanted increase, K, left-slanted increase, K14 for total of 31 sts 7. P 8. K 9. repeat 7-8 for total of 9 rows, ending in a purl row 10. [create sole] place 14 sts on DPNS #1, 3 sts on DPNS #2, 14 sts on DPNS #3 11. K 14 sts across #1 12. K 3 sts across #2 13. K2tog on #3, and slip st back onto DPNS #3, turn work. 14. K 3 sts across #2, and K2tog on #1, again slipping st back onto #1, turn work 15. Repeat steps 19-21 until all sts have been used, and sole is formed. 3 sts on $\#2$ and one st from #1 and $\#3$ are left. 16. Cut yarn and thread through remaining 5 loops. Weave in to fill gap at heel. I also added a $20^{\circ}$ crocheted chain for a bow to tie. Finished product was $3~^{1}\!/\!/\!\!/\,^{,,}$ long and $3^{\circ}$ high, with a 2"' cuff. \*\*right-slanting make one with knit increase: pick up the horizontal strand between the sts on the left and right needles with your left needle from back to front and place onto the left needle. Insert the right needle into the front of the strand and knit it. \*\*left-slanting make one with knit increase: Same as above, except pick up horizontal strand from front to back and place on left needle. Insert right needle into the back of the loop and knit it.
