TAIL (I-cord)
Cast on 5 stitches on a double-pointed needle. Slide the stitches from the left to the right of the needle, do not turn the needle. Pull the yarn behind the needle to the right side and knit over those five stitches. Slide the stitches to the right side again, pull the yarn behind the needle to the right side and knit again. Pull the first stitch tightly to close the opening. Knit this way about 5 rows, then knit the first two stitches together. (4 stitches remaining) Continue knitting the I-cord for about 10 more rows, then knit the first two stitches together. (3 stitches remaining) Knit the I-cord until the tail has reached the desired length. Cut yarn. Sew the wide end of the tail to the body, curl the tail and sew it onto the body. If you knitted on the scarf attach the scarf to the second purl row on the back of the head. If you knitted the scarf separately attach it to both purl rows. Sew in all ends. Sew on the eyes.

This shows the entire bead. Only colored boxes are knit. Wbite boxes bave no meaning.
