Winter's End Cowl

Supplies: US #15, straight single pointed needle Super bulky weight yarn, approximately 80 yards (sample knit & shown in Lion Brand Hometown USA) Button(s) Gauge: - 8.5 sts = 4" \*However gauge isn't tremendously important since this is basically a knit rectangle that is joined together to form a loop with a button. This could be knit in any yarn weight, just adjust the stitch count to ensure your rectangle is wide enough to cover your neck. The stitch count is a multiple of 2. CO 22 stitches. Row 1: Knit Row 2: Knit Row 3: K2, \*yo, K2tog, repeat from \* to last 2 sts, K2. Row 4: K2, purl to last 2 sts, K2. Row 5: K2, \*skp, yo, repeat from \* to last 2 sts, K2. Row 6: K2, purl to last 2 sts, K2. Repeat Rows 3-6 two more times for a total of three repeats. (approximately 4 V2"). Continue in garter stitch (knit every row) for desired length or approximately 14 y“. BO all stitches. Weave in ends. You could sew one button onto the garter edge of the cowl so it hangs open or you could sew multiple buttons to close the cowl fully. Choose a larger button(s) that fits through one of the holes in the knit fabric.
