Materials: 220 yards worsted weight Size 7 and 8 needles Gauge: 18 st/9 rows in 2" using cabled pattern slightly streached and U.S. 8 needles With size 8 needles, cast on 50 Rows 1,3,5: \* K2, P2, K6, P2. Repeat from \* ending with K2. Rows 2,4,6,8: \* P2, K2, P6, K2. Repeat from \* ending with P2. Row 7: \* K2, P2, C6F, P2. Repeat from \* ending with K2. Continue repeating rows 1-8 until piece measures $6^{\prime\prime}$ then change to size 7 needles. Continue working in pattern until piece measure ${\bf12\Sigma^{1/2^{\prime\prime}}}$ Bind off. Fold piece in half lengthwise. sew up side, leaving a $z^{\prime\prime}$ gap $4^{\prime\prime}$ from the top. Attn: For Dpns Cast on 48, join in the round. Follow pattern till piece measures 8 ${1}/{2"}$ Work the next $z^{\prime\prime}$ in rows. Then continue in the round till piece measures ${\bf12\Sigma^{1/2^{\prime\prime}}}$ Bind off in pattern.
