This yeti is worked continuously in the round, so you won't have to worry about remembering where to slip stitch! Also, if you're going to knit the sweater for it, don't bother using the loop stitch on the body and arms. The sweater will fit better this way, and will look smoother! :)

2 skeins of Worsted weight yarn in navy (main color) and gray (change color) Stitch markers Stitch holders Directions: (front of sweater) In main color, Co 45 sts using Long Tail cast on. Purl one row (Ws). Work in twisted ribbing for one inch. Work in stockinette for 4 inches. Follow chart below for colorwork or knit in stockinette for another 1 1/2 inches.

Knit in stockinette for two more rows. Left Shoulder (viewed as the right shoulder when the work is facing you): Row 1 (RS): Knit 17, place 11 sts on holder, turn. (all WS): Purl all sts. Turn. Row 3: Knit 14, k2t0g, k1 (16 sts) Row 5: Knit 13, k2tog, k1 (15 sts) Row 7: Knit 12, k2tog, k1 (14 sts) Row 9: Knit 11, k2tog, k1 (13 sts) Row 11: Knit 10, k2tog, k1 (12 sts) Row 13: Knit 9, k2tog, k1 (11 sts) Bind off. (Rs) Join main color of yarn on 17th st from the left side of the work. Right Shoulder: (looks like left when the work is facing you) (RS): Knit 17 sts. Turn. (All WS rows): Purl all stitches. Turn. Row 3: Knit 1, ssk, knit 14 (16 sts) Row 5: Knit 1, ssk, knit 13 (15 sts) Row 7: Knit 1, ssk, knit 12 (14 sts) Row 9: Knit 1, ssk, knit 11 (13 sts) Row 11: Knit 1, ssk, knit 10 (12 sts) Row 13: Knit 1, ssk, knit 9 (11 sts) Bind off, and place stitch markers approximately 3 1/2 inches from top of shoulder. This marks where you're going to make the arms.
Directions: (back of sweater)
In main color, Co 45 sts using Long Tail cast on. Purl one row (WS). Work in twisted ribbing for one inch. Work in stockinette for 4 inches. Follow chart on previous page for colorwork or knit in stockinette for another 1 1/2 inches. Knit in stockinette for 1 3/4 inches, ending on RS. (WS): Bind off 11 sts, purl 23, bind off 11. Place the 23 sts on a stitch holder, and sew the shoulders of the sweater together. Place a stitch marker on each side of the sweater, approximately 3 1/2 inches down from shoulder.
Directions for arms: (repeat on both sides of sweater)
(RS) Starting at one stitch marker, with main color, pick up 42 sts along side of body. Work in stockinette for 4 1/4 inches. Decrease one stitch in the middle of the next row. Work in twisted ribbing for 1/2 an inch. Bind off. Directions: (neck) You may switch to DPNs now. Starting at the back of the neck, with main color, knit the 23 stitches from the holder. Pick up 8 sts down the left side of the neck, knit the 11 sts from the holder, and pick up 8 sts up the right side of the neck. (50 sts) Knit one round. Work in twisted ribbing for 1/2 an inch.
