Ellie's Perfect Bootees
A design by Ellie Rice

Bootees pictured knit in Red Heart Super Saver in colour 964 'Primary' I designed these bootees because I much prefer the look of stockinette for basic patterns, and when it comes to things for babies, I prefer simplicity, rather than buttons and ties! Knit in the round, because nobody likes doing seams, good for DPNs or Magic Loop. These work well with any yarn, but suit acrylic worsted particularly well, variegated colouring is even better. I love how funky and chic these look, and you need so little yarn that you could make them with leftovers from other projects. Perfect if you need a last-minute gift. Materials: loz worsted-weight yarn (if your chosen yarn is too skinny, try knitting with two strands together. If it's too chunky, make MASSIVE BOOTEES!) 4 US size 7 / 4.5mm double pointed needles US size 7 / 4.5mm circular needle if using Magic Loop method - Or size needed for correct gauge Yarn needle for weaving in ends
