Materials:
250/300 yards of Sport/DK weight yarn 4,5 mm (US 7) 24" circular needle (optional) one stitch marker (optional) tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
CO: Cast On k = knit p = purl st/sts = stitch/stitches yo = yarn over k2tog = knit 2 stitches together BO:Bind Off Please note: gauge depends on your hand. Some knitters prefer to work thin handspun yarn with biggest needles, for more softness. This pattern is recommended for a 4,5 mm needle, but many have also worked with 6 or 6,5 mm (US 10-10 1/2).

CO 3 sts and knit 6 rows in garter st. Rotates 90 degrees and pick up and knit 3 sts, rotates and pick up 3 sts again (9 sts onneedle). Work in stockinette st: Row 1: k 4, Place Marker, k5 Row 2: k3, YO, Purl to the last 3 sts, YO, k3 Row 3: k to the Marker, YO, (Slip Marker)k1, YO, k to end Row 4-23: Repeat rows 2 and 3 Row 24: Repeat row 2 once again Row 25: k4, \*YO, k2tog\* to the Marker, YO, (Slip Marker) k1, YO \*k2tog, YO\* to the last 4 sts, k4 Row 26-35: Repeat rows 2 and 3 Row36:Repeatrow2 Row 37: k4, \*YO, k2tog\* to the Marker, YO, (Slip Marker) k1, YO \*k2tog, YO\* to the last 4 sts, k4 Row 38-57: Repeat rows 2 and 3 Row 58: Repeat row 2 again Row 59: k4, \*YO, k2tog\* to the Marker, YO, (Slip Marker) k1, YO \*k2tog, YO\* to the last 4 sts, k4 Repeat rows 26-59 until desired length.
Ruffles (optional)
When you reached the desired width works this way: Row 1: \*k1, YO\* k1 Row 2-4: knit all sts
Finishing:
BO very loosely and sewing the ends.
Alternative:
(photo 2) works the shawl in stockinette st. Add 2 rows at ruffle. (photo 3) work Yo section (row 25) twice every 10 stockinette rows. There are many ways to vary this pattern, just use your imagination and... ENJoY!! Happy knitting :)
