Bear peeking out of a sunflower snuggle buddy - Peek-A-Boo-Bear

Peek-A-Boo-Bear measure 11' inches tall - not including the ears - and is 13 inches round

Start flower petals: \*Ch2, dc, tr all in the same st, ch3, tr, dc, hdc all in the next st, sl st in the next st\* repeat all around , ending with a sl st in the beginning ch2 stitch (total of 12 petals) ; is what the flower petals should look like when completed

Bear head: using mocha yarn and a 4 mm hook 1) MR - 6 sc in the loop (6 st) 2) 2sc in each stitch (12 st) 3) \*sc in the next st, 2sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (18 st) 4) \*sc in the next 2 st, 2sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (24 st) 5) \*sc in the next 3 st, 2sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (30 st) 6) \*sc in the next4 st, 2 sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (36 st) 7) sc in each st around (36 st) 8) \*sc in the next 5 st, 2sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (42 st) 9 to 13) sc in each st around (42 st) 14) \*sc in the next 5 st, sc2tog\* repeat \*to\* all around (36 st) 15) sc in each st around (36 st) 16) \*sc in the next 4 st, sc2tog\* repeat \*to\* all around (30 st) 17 + 18) sc in each st around (30 st) now would be a good time to attach the safety eyes between rows 10 and 11 leaving 4 stitches between them. If you are using the felt circles , cut two small circles, just a little bit bigger than the eyes. Cut slits in the felt and insert the eyes through them and the insert into the head. Start stuffing head firmly 19) \*sc in the next 3 st, sc2tog\* repeat \*to\* all around (24 st) 20) sc in the next 2 st, sc2tog\* repeat \*to\* all around (18 st) Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew to the top of the pillow (don't worry about the hole that is left behind) don't sew it on yet, wait until you have all of the parts sewn on Muzzle - beige yarn - 4 mm hook - working in the round 1) MR - 6 sc in the loop 2) 2sc in each st (12 st) 3) \*sc in the next st, 2sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (18 st) 4) \*2sc in the next 3 st, sc in the next 6 st\* repeat \*to\* one more time (24 st) Fasten off leaving a long length to sew to the face , attach safety nose between rows 3 and 4. Using the mocha yarn stitch the mouth and the line between the nose and mouth. Sew the muzzle just below the eyes. 5 - make 2 - mocha yarn - working in the round - 4 mm hoo 1) MR - 6 sc in the loop 2) 2sc in each st (12 st) 3) \*sc in the next st, 2sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (18 st) 4 to 6) sc in each st around (18 st) Fastenoff Flatten and sew to the top of the head between rows 5 and 12, leaving 7 stitches betweenthem Paws - make 2 - mocha yarn - working in the round - 4 mm hook 1) MR - 6 sc in the loop 2) 2sc in each st (12 st) 3) \*sc in the next st, 2sc in the next st\* repeat \*to\* all around (18 st) 4 to 7) sc in each st around (18 st) 8) \*sc in the next st, sc2tog\* repeat \*to\* all around (12 st) 9) sc2tog all around (6 st) Fasten off leaving a long length to sew to the top of the pillow Using beige yarn stitch 3 little lines on the paws, between rows 3 and 4 leaving 2 stitches between the lines , (once the paws are sewn on) .

\*sew the head onto the top of the pillow, right in the centre using the yarn you left earlier (see picture below) \*sew the paws to the top of the pillow between the head and the petals (see picture below) \*now it is time to sculpt the eyes: thread your tapestry needle with mocha yarn, insert your needle just below the right eye , going through to just below the left eye (see picture below) , pull yarn through (not all of the way) then re insert your needle a couple of stitches above and going through to the other eye: (see picture below), work your yarn through, then reinsert your needle through the same stitch as you started with , pull the two ends of yarn tightly,(see picture below) you should see the muzzle pop out and the eyes come closer together. Once you are happy with the look, reinsert the needle through to the other eye making sure to come out of another stitch , tie the ends together and hides your ends inside the bears head. First needle pass:

Notice the two ends of yarn on either side of the muzzle? Pull those two ends tightly:
