Materials: 2 skeins of Alana yarn by Universal Yarn (or 318 yds of aran weight yarn) Crochet Hook size H-8 This ponchette is crocheted as a rectangle then joined at the side. Gauge is not critical to this project.

Hawaian Flower Square ( make 5)

Row 1: CH 4, SL through first CH. Row 2: CH 1, 8 SC in CH space, SL into first SC. Row 3: CH1, SC in same stitch, SC in next SC, CH 6, SC in same stitch. \*SC in next 2 SC's, CH6, SC in same SC. Repeat 2 more times. Ending with SL in first CH 1. (4 petals) Row 4: \*9 DC in CH space (petal), SL in next stitch\*. Repeat 3 more times. Row 5: \*SC in first 4 DC's on petal, CH 2, SC in next 4 DC's, SL in next SC\*. Repeat 3 more times.Tie off. Joining Flower Squares (Border) At the top of the square (any side will do) \*SC in first 2 SC's, CH 8, SC in next two SC's\*. Add the next square and repeat \*\*. Join all 5 squares. Break off yarn. Repeat at the bottom of squares.

Rectangle

Row 1: Pick up stitches on top of squares with SC in each stitch. Row 2: Ch 3, \*SK 1 stitch, DC in next stitch, CH 1\* to end. Repeat Row 2 until rectangle can be connected to the border of squares to fit around your shoulders.
