Create three short rows, progressing inward by 1 st per row, then work two rows in st st, picking up all wrapped stitches and unworked stitches, begin working first stitch. Repeat short rows for 1 iteration, while increasing by one two stitches in from the final wrapped stitch at each end every other RS row. On the $3^{\mathsf{r d}}$ iteration, only create two short rows, continue increases as before, (every other RS row, or every four rows). On the $4^{\mathrm{th}}$ iteration, create only 1 shrt row, continue increases, repeat for7iterations. Work 4 rows in st st while continuing to increase every other RS row. Next row, [k1, p1] to end of row Next row, [p1, k1] to end of row Repeat last two rows once BO in pattern With crochet hook, crochet back across BO, then daisy chain a sufficient length to reach around the torso about one inch from the opposite corner of the fabric w/o severing yarn. Crochet using a slip stitch back along the daisy chain, creating a loop about $1^{\prime\prime}$ in length at the end. Be careful to measure the difference between the daisy chain and the slip stitched chain so as not to end up with straps too short.

Pattern illustration

When you get back to the fabric, crochet around the edge to the bottom corner, and repeat the daisy chain/slip stitch procedure for enough to reach the small of the back going between the legs (for most guys, this will be $6^{\prime\prime}{-}7^{\prime\prime}$ Crochet around edge to the other top corner, daisy chain for three inches, then double back and create a small knot of yarn, fasten securely, and cut yarn. Bind into the daisy chain two inches from the end (one inch from fabric) and [sl st, ch2] twice, skipping two stitches in the daisy chain before performing each sl st. Proceed back along the remaining length of the daisy chain with a slip stitch as before, bind off and weave in all loose ends on fabric. Thread the first side strap through the loop at the end of the bottom one, then thread the $z^{\prime\prime}$ of daisy chain at the end of Congratulations! You have a usable men's G-string garment.

Variations:

If your guy is unusually large, use two short rows up the length of the fabric instead of one. This will create a larger, more accommodating pouch. If smaller than usual, or for a garment to help prevent embarrassing and untimely. protuberances, use no short rows at all, but where the pattern says to repeat the $4^{t h}$ short row iteration 7 times, only perform this iteration once, and instead knit 28 rows in st st, increasing every other Rs row, and be sure the straps are short enough to pull the top of the fabric taught against the skin when flaccid.
