Yarn: 1 skein Radioactive Rabbit Hand Dyed Sock Yarn 400 yards Fingerling Weight Needles: US8 24" Circular Needles Notions: 2 Stitch Markers Section 1: Cast on 7 stitches Chart 1: Row 1: k1, kfb, tbl, yo, pm, k1, pm, yo, tbl, kfb, k1 Row 2: k1, kfb, p to last 2 stitches, kfb, k1 Row 3: k1, kfb, k till 1 stitch before first marker, tbl, sm, yo, k1, yo, sm, tbl, k3, kfb, k1 Repeat rows 2&3 9 times total. (65 Stitches Total)
Section 2:
Rows 1-3: Continue working rows 1&2 of section 1 Row 4: Continue the beginning, center and end stitches as established Rather than knitting across, however, begin improv as follows

a) k1, k2tog, yo b) yo, sk2p, yo, k1 c) incr3,k3tog d) Or Repeat of your own choosing! Just ensure that your # of increases matches your # of decreases. On the red shawl, for example, I did 1 row of kfbfb followed by a k4tog. Repeat rows 1-4 4 times total. (113 stitches total)
Section 3:
All Rows: Continue the beginning, center and end stitches as established. Improv every row (both right and wrong sides) until 15 yards of yarn remain. BO Loosely. Weave in ends. Block as desired. Blue Shawl is blocked aggressively while Red Shawl is blocked softly. Chart 1: Chart a:
