1 ball of Trekking Hand Art 459yds Size 3 $(3.25\,\mathsf{m m})$ Double Pointed Knitting Needles Sizes-one size fits most (the foot section is increased in size for small med, and large)

Cast on the following stitches - 49
Spread stitches as evenly as possible over 3 needles. Place a stitch marker at beginning of row to determine where the pattern begins again. Work one row knit even and then 2 rows kl, pl. All even rows in pattern will be knit even. Now begin pattern

Begin Heel Flap
Move 24 stitches to one needle and work as follows - ●Row 1 - \* slpl, k1 \* repeat from \* to \* ● Row 2 - slp1 work remainder 23 stitches purl Work these 2 rows a total of 25 times to create heel flap
Turn Heel

Row 1 - sl1, k13, ssk, k1 turn Row 2 - sll, p5, p2tog, p1 turn $\bullet$ Row 3 - sl1, k to 1 stitch before gap and then ssk, k1 turn (this closes gap) ·Row 4 - sl1, p to 1 stitch before gap and then p2tog, pl turn (this closes gap) Repeat rows 3 and 4 until all stitches have been worked. On the last row there will not be enough stitches to do the k1 and p1, please ignore them and continue
Pick up stitches for Gusset
Work heel flap to side of heel and pick up 13 stitches along side, then work front stitches in even knit, pick up 13 stitches again in order to join the heel section to the front work. Now work even knit one row. Row 1 - work to gusset picked up stitches, work to last 3 picked up stitches and then ssk k1 then knit front section, work to gusset picked up stitches, work to last 3 picked up stitches and then k2tog, k1 Row 2 - work even Work these 2 rows until there are a total of 48 stitches Work even for 6, 7, 8 inches for foot section
Toe Creation
There are 24 stitches given for the underneath of the sock and 24 for the top. When you reach stitch 12 of the front of the sock (the middle of the front) work 9 stitches even then k2tog, place marker and k1. Work the 24 stitches for the underneath, then k1, place marker, ssk. The marker will indicate where the next decreases will take place. Continue decrease (k2tog on left front before marker and ssk at right front after marker) 10 times. On last row slp1 k2tog psso. This create a v in the center of the sock front. Now move stitches evenly across 2 needles front with front and back with back stitches.
