Eyes (Option 2)
Magic Circle with black or ch3 and sl stitch in 1 st chain Rnd 1: Ch 1, 4 sc in circle. (4) Continue to work in round, N0 joining. Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc around. (8) FO leaving a long enough tail to sew it on.
Teeth (Optional) - I used 8 teeth, but you are more than welcome to use less or more.

Antenna (Optional) - As many or little as you like
With antenna color choice, ch2 Rnd 1: 4 sc in 2nd ch from hk, mark beginning of rnd. Move mark as you work on rnds (4) Rnd 2-8: sc in each st around. FO leaving a tail long enough for attaching. Options for Spaceman: You need two eyes (your choice on option 1 or 2) and face. Options for Space Monster: You can use any of the features and as many or little as you want. The only limit is your imagination.
Finishing Spaceman:
Sew eyes onto face. With black or brown yarn, stitch eyebrows and mouth. Sew face to Hat.
Finishing Space Monster:
Attach facial features. If doing mouth with teeth, sew teeth to mouth. Than sew mouth to hat base. If you did not crochet mouth, but want a mouth, just stitch one on. If doing antenna, stich in place on hat. I would love to see your finish creation.
