Materials: Your yarn of choice and corresponding crocheting hook. For the shown sample (knitted version) I've used Schoppel-Wolle Zauberball "Tropical Fish".

ABBREVIATIONS:

ch chain SC single crochet st(s) stitch(es)

PATTERN:

It's a real simple pattern, increase 3 stitches in row 1, decrease 2 stitches in row 3, straight stitches in rows 2 and 4. Ch 8, sc in 2nd chain from hook and in each stitch across to end, ch 1, turn. Row 1 Row2 Row3 Row4 sc in 1st st, ch 3, sc in 2nd st and across to end, ch 1, turn. sc in each st across including chain stitches, ch 1, turn. sc until last 2 sts, ch 1, turn. sc in each st across, ch 1, turn Repeat rows 1-4 until desired size, finish with whatever edge you prefer.
