Yarn:
Approx 120 - 150 yards of fingering weight yarn.
Sizing:
One Size, approx circumference = 7.5 inches / 19cm.
Needles:
Gauge: 26 sts and 36 rows = 4 inch square (10 cm) in stockinette stitch.

This is the official swatch for the Unwind Brighton Hand dyed yarn competition, which also makes a sweet pair of wristers.
To begin:
With a long circular needle or double pointed needles, Cast on 48 stitches. Join, being careful not to twist ? Place a marker if necessary to indicate the beginning of the round. Work 5 rounds of 2 x 2 ribbing: \*(knit 2, purl 2), repeat from \* to end. rk in st st in the round until the piece measures approx. 8 inches / 2ocm from cast on edg Work 4 rounds of 2 x 2 ribbing: \*(knit 2, purl 2), repeat from \* to end.
