and that's how your scarf will look ;-) ...but because you can repeat the pattern in both directions as often as you like, you can also knit wide shawls, blankets, totes, and if you use simple patterns you can use the lace knitting pattern apple blossom for garments as well :) this a a swatch of the pattern, knitted two times horizontally and two times vertically

about the pattern
repeats:
if you want to repeat the pattern horizontally, knit first stitch, repeat ‘repeat' part of pattern (stitches 1-20), end with last stitch. if you want to repeat the pattern vertically, knit rows 1 - 48, repeat from row 1, end with row 50.
cast on:
number of repeats x 20 stitches + 2 stitches (first and last) + 2 stitches (edge stitches at begin and end)
note:
/ou will need the edge stitches to knit the yarn overs at begin and end of rows back rows: the chart shows only the rows on the right side. knit all back rows or purl all back rows, with the latter your shawl will be in garter stitch and won't curl personally I prefer stockinette and purled all back rows symbols / abbreviations k2tog - knit 2 together or other right decrease ]k - knit yo - yarn over sl-k2tog-psso slip 1, knit 2 together, pass slipped stitch over ssk - slip 1, slip 1, knit both together or other left decrease show your item: I opened a group unikatissima at ravelry where you can discuss this pattern and my other patterns, too you can register at ravelry with your username and a valid email address only, with all other information about you it's up to you whether you give them (at least it was like this when I registered ;-)) URLS: www.ravelry.com www.ravelry.com/groups/unikatissima All content (text, pictures, etc) of this document is protected by copyright Please note: by using this instruction you agree to my terms of use which you can find on page 1
