Materials:

Hook: G (4.25 mm) or hook needed to obtain gauge Worsted Weight Yarn (4) in 2 colours: Brown, and BlaCk Polyester Stuffing Stitch Marker Tapestry Needle

Abbreviations:

Ch = Chain Sc = single crochet Scinc = single crochet increase Invdec = invisible decrease (single Crochet 2 together) Dc = double crochet Hdc = half double Crochet Rnd = round

Notes:

· Finished Size: Approx. 3 inches tall, 8 inches long (nose to tip of tail). · Gauge: 4 sC = 1 inch This pattern is worked in continuous rounds. SpeCialty Stitching:

Puff Stitch: yarn over, insert hook into specified space, pull up a loop, [yarn over, insert hook into same stitch, and pull up a loop] x2, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook.

Head Body (Make 1):

Rnd 1 - using brown create a magic ring, sC 6 Tip: If you are using Rnd 2 - \*scinc, sc in next 2\*, repeat around (8) safety eyes, insert Rnd 3 - \*scinc, sc in next\* repeat around (12) them according to Rnd 4 - sC in each stitch around (12) manufacturer's Rnd 5 - \*sCinC, sC in next 3\* (15) directions between Rnd 6 - sC in each stitch around (15) Rnds 7 4 8, 4 sC apart. Rnd 7 - \*scinc, sc in next 4\* repeat around (18) Rnd 8 - sC in each stitch around (18) Rnd 9 - sC in first 6, drop the brown and pick up black, puff stitch in next (ast ear made), pick up brown, sC in next 4 stitches, pick up black, puff stitch (2nd ear made), fasten off black and pick up brown, sc in last 6 stitches (18) Rnd 10 - \*invdeC, sC in next\* repeat around (12), stuff the head. Rnd 11 - scinc, sC in next 3\* repeat around (15) Rnd 12 - \*scinc, sC in next 4\* repeat around (18) Rnd 13 - \*scinc, sC in next 2\* repeat around (24) Rnd 14-22 - sC in each stitch around (24) Rnd 23 - \*invdeC, sc in next 2\* repeat around (18) Rnd 24 - \*invdeC, sC in next 4\* repeat around (15) Rnd 25 - sC in first 8 stitches, invdec 3 times, sC in last (12), finish stuffing the body. Rnd 26 - invdeC, sC in next 4, invdeC 3 times (8), Change t0 black for the rest 0f the tail Rnd 27 - \*invdeC, sC in next 2\* repeat around (6) Rnd 28-29 - sC in each stitch around (6) Rnd 30 - \*scinc, sC in next 2\* repeat around (8) Rnd 31 - \*scinC, sC in next 3\* repeat around (10) Rnd 32-35 - sC in each stitch around (10) Rnd 36 - invdec in each stitch around (5) Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing. Do not stuff the tail! Weave the yarn in and out the front loops and pull tight to close the hole.

Front Legs (Make 2):

Rnd 1 - using black create a magic ring, sC 3 Rnd 2-3 - sc in each stitch around (3), change to brown at the end of rnd 3. Rnd 4 - sCinc in first stitch, sC in next 2 (4) Rnd 5 - sCinc in first stitch, sC in next 3 (5) Rnd 6 - sCinc in first stitch, sC in next 4 (6) Rnd 7-10 - sC in each stitch around Fasten off leaving a 1o inch long tail for sewing. Do not stuff the leg! Weave the yarn in and out of the front loops and pull tight to close the hole (do not fasten off yet!). Attach the front legs approx. 13 rounds back from the tip of the nose.

Rear Legs (Make 2):

Rnd 1 - using black create a magic ring, sC 4 Rnd 2-4 - sc in each stitch around (4), change to brown at the end of rnd 4. Rnd 5 - sCinc in first stitch, sC in next 3 (5) Rnd 6 - sCinc in first stitch, sC in next 4 (6) Rnd 7 - \*scinc, sC in next 2\* repeat around (8) Rnd 8-11 - sC in each stitch around Fasten off leaving a 1o inch long tail for sewing. Do not stuff the leg! Weave the yarn in and out of the front loops and pull tight to Close the hole (do not fasten off yet!). Attach the rear legs approx. 5 rounds back from the front legs.

Finishing Florence:

Using an 18 inch piece of black yarn embroider a hose on the tip of the head and eyes 2 rounds in front of the ears.
