11 sts = 4"/10 cm using smaller needle.

Designer Notes:

This is a very simple and very warm, chunky, mesh cowl.

Cell Stitch Pattern:

Rnd 1: \*Yo, sl1, k2tog, psso, yo, k1\*, rep from \* to \* to end of rnd. Rnd 2: Knit. Rnd 3: Remove marker, k1, replace marker, \*yo, k1, yo, sl1, k2tog, psso\*, rep from \* to \* to end of rnd. Rnd 4: Knit. Rep these 4 rnds.

Instructions:

Using larger needle, loosely CO 56 (60, 64) sts. Join in rnd, being careful not to twist sts. PM at beg of rnd. Work 2 rnds in rev st st. Next rnd: Change to smaller needles and work Cell Stitch Pattern as described above, until piece measures 9" or desired length from CO edge. Change to larger needled and work 2 rnds in rev st st. BO very loosely, knitwise. Finishing: Sew in loose ends, and block gently.
