Sylvestra is an easily knitted asymmetrical shawl that can be knitted in any yarn weight. Loosen a few simple patterns series and provide variety while knitting. Material: Approximately 200g (You can use 3 yarnweights 4ply, sportweight or DK.) You need depending on yarn weight, 120 (DK) to 100 g of the main color and 50 g of contrasting color. Use the appropriate needles for the yarn weight (Example, 3.5mm for many sock weight yarns.). In my example, I have used Evento (150m / 50g LL) from Lana Grossa, knitted on needle size 4.5mm. There are two types of increases. : Increase I. : Double\* 1st stitch and knit the last two stitches together in each right side row. In each wrong side row: Double the last stitch. Increase I1. : 1st and 2nd stitch double\* (loosely knit) knit the last two stitches together on the right side row. Double only the last stitch on the wrong side row. \*Double = KFB Basic pattern: Garter stitch; knit on both sides with main color. Pattern I. : Use contrasting color. lst row: (increase) 1 YO, K2Tog until the end of the row (Keep count steady: go up) simply knit one stitch instead knitting two stitches together) 2nd row: Purl all stitches.
