Sylvestra is an easily knitted asymmetrical shawl that can be knitted in any yarn weight. Loosen a few simple patterns series and provide variety while knitting.
Material:
Approximately 200g (4 ply sock) with 400, 300 or 200 (DK) m run length per 100 g. The recipe is written for all 3 yarn weights (x/x/x). You need depending on yarn weight, 120 (DK) to 100 g of the main color and 50 g of contrasting color. Use the appropriate needles for the yarn weight(example, 3.5mm for many sock weight yarns.) In my example, I have the used Evento (150m / 50g LL) from Lana Grossa, knitted on needle size 4.5mm. There are two types of increases. Increase I: double\* 1st stitch and knit the last two stitches together in each right side row. In each wrong side row: double the last stitch Increase II: 1st and 2nd stitch double\* (loosely knit.)Knit the last two stitches together on the right side row. Double only the last stitch on the wrong side row. \*Double = KFB Basic pattern: Garter stitch; knit on both sides with main color. Pattern I: Use contrasting color.

lst row:(increase) 1 YO, K2Tog until the end of the row (Keep count steady: go up)simply knit one stitch instead knitting two stitches together) 2nd row: Purl all stitches. Continue to work in the following striped pattern using increases I.
The Stripe
NB: you will work with the increase II (lst and 2nd stitch double -loosely knit- knit the last two stitches together on the right side row. Double only the last stitch on the wrong side row.) 12/10/8 rows in basic pattern (garter stitch) V ONLY 6/5/4 times each 2 rows in pattern I and 2 rows in basic pattern. Knit another 24/20/16 rows in a contrasting color and in the 25th/21st/17th row bind off. Now just sew up all the ends and you're done.
