IMPORTANTNOTE: If you have done some of my patterns before with the iCord borders, this one is different. In e
reversed how the iCord was done on previous patterns. I tried to make the directions easier to read by putting "k first iCord" or
Mosaic Knitting in General If you've never done Mosaic Knitting before, I recommend a little research first. It's NOT

Right and Wrong Sides
Odd number rows are on the right side, even number rows are the wrong side. In other words, if you are knitting an odd number row, you should be looking at the right side.

Stitch MarkersThis pattern is divided into sections. Put a stitch marker after your beginning border, after sections 1,
2, and 3 and 4. You'll see this noted in the pattern after you finish the beginning border.

want to mess with fancy side borders, you can just do garter stitch borders on the side. Just remember
If you really hate purlingIf you really want to make your life easy, just do your whole cloth in garter stitch (knit,
knit, knit). The process is pretty much the same. Just make sure on the Wrong Side, that you are moving your yarn around so that you are slipping the stitches with the yarn in front.

Borders in this PatternThe borders in this pattern add an additional 14 stitches to the width (7 each side).
Adjusting the size of your clothTo make sure the pattern stays centered on your cloth, if you want to adjust the size,
you need to do it in blocks. For width, add or subtract another multiple of the pattern. For instance, if the
if the pattern multiple is 10+3, the 3 edge stitches are always there. If you want to make the cloth wider

a multiple of 20 rows, then add or subtract 20 rows. Of course, you can always make minor tweaks by
adjusting your side borders or the number of border rows at the top and bottom.

working it (sl-2 would mean to slip 2 stitches, etc). For this pattern, always slip purlwise which means the needle is facing the stitch to be slipped as if you were going to purl it

What you do: k1 - slip 1 purlwise wyif - k1
How you do it:You knit the first stitch, move the yarn to the front like you are about to purl and slip
the middle stitch without working it, move the yarn to the back and knit the 3rd stitch.

the yarn around to the front like you are about to purl. Keeping the yarn there, go back and pull that slipped stitch over both the stitch you just knit and the yarnover.
