Lattice Dishcloth

around post of dc in previous rnd) I love the way the post crochet stitches form a "lattice”’ climbing up between the shells. And those “lattices” are great for scrubbing dishes!
Materials:
$100\%$ cotton worsted weight yarn, 1 ball Crochethooksize $_\mathrm{N}$ (I crochet tightly,soyoumay want to use a hook two or three sizes smaller)
Abbreviations:
$\mathrm{Ch}=$ chain Sl st $=$ slip stitch $\mathbf{S}\mathbf{t}=\mathbf{\Psi}$ stitch $\mathbf{S}\mathbf{c}=$ single crochet Dc $=$ double crochet Rnd $=$ round $\mathbf{Beg=}$ beginning $\mathrm{Sp}=$ space $\mathrm{FP=}$ front post stitch (from front of work, make dc around post of dc in previous rnd) $\mathrm{BP}=$ back post stitch (from back of work, make dc Instructions: Ch 27. Row 1: Dc in fourth ch from hook, skip next ch, $^*3$ dc-shell in next ch, skip next ch, dc in next ch. Rep from \* across, end with ch 3, turn. (Throughout pattern, ch-3 counts as first st of next row.) Row 2: Skip first dc, 3-dc shell in next st (center dc of last row's shell), skip next dc, BP; work in this manner across row, having a shellin the center st of each shell and a BP stitch around each dc between shells. Ch 3, turn. Row 3: Skip first dc, 3-dc shell in next st (center dc of last row's shell), skip next dc, FP; work in this manner across row, having a shell in the center st of each shell and a FP stitch around each dc between shells. Ch 3, turn. Repeat rows 2 and 3 until dishcloth is desired height.
Edging:
Rnd 1: Sc evenly around dishcloth, working 3 sc in each corner. Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same st. Sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in center sc of 3-sc corners. Join with sl st to beg sc and fasten yarn.
