Finishing:
Once all components have been completed sew pieces together. For sewing wings place between the smaller decreases on opposite sides and sew to body. along the right, left, and top sides of the wing. Sewing bottom of the wing to the body is optional. By not sewing the bottom of the wings to the body the wings slightly curl out giving a more natural appearance. Once the wings have been sewn it is time for the beak and eyes. For my method of sewing the beak 1 create V's orienting from the beak tip and then sewing a line across the top to create a cleaner finish. My eyes for the bird are simply lines, but you may decide upon another style if you like. Birds should come out to be about 6 inches by 6 inches. 888 For face and chest patches simply sew them on in the desired position using the long bind off tail. Once sewn into place the beak and eyes can be sewn onto. the face patch.
