GAUGE FOR BASIC PATTERN: 20 stitcheS and $13,5\;\mathsf{r o w s}=10\times10\;\mathsf{c m}$ THIS TOP COULD BE VERY SIMPLY AND EASILY MODIFIED IN THE SIZE - IF YOUADD OR REDUCE 2 PATTERN REPEATS $\mathbf{\varepsilon}=26$ STITCHESAND IFYOU WISH TO HAVE THE TOP LONGER, THEN YOU HAVE TO MAKE LONGER THE UPPER PARTIN STRUCTURAL PATTERN.
THE TOP IS WORKED TILL ARMHOLES IN ONE PIECE IN ROUNDS; THEN IT ISDIVIDED AND FRONT AND BACK IS WORKED SEPARATELY.
BACK $\mathbf{+}$ FRONT: Cast on on 182/208 ch and taking care not to twist sts., join sl st in first ch to form a ring. Then work the structural pattern $=14$ repeats of the pattern till the piece is 20 / 22 cm long. Then we continue in basic pattern $=\mathsf{d c}$ across and in the first row of the basic pattern we reduce ${28\:/\:32}$ stitches $=d c$ in every dc and sc of the previous row and 2 dc in every ch-3 space of the previous $\mathsf{r o w}=154\,/\,176\,\mathsf{d c}$ , Continue in basic pattern til the piece ist 32/35 cm long and then separate the work in 2 pieces $=$ front and back $=$ 77 / 88 dc. From now we work in normal rows with turning of the work.
Shape armholes:
1. row: ch 1, turn, sl st in first 6 sts, ch 3, dc in each st across to the last 6 st, leave this rem 6 st unworked 2. row: ch 1, turn, sl. st in first 3 sts, ch 3, , dc in each st across to the last 3 st, leave this rem 3 st unworked 3. row: ch 1, turn, sl. st in first 2 sts, ch 3, , dc in each st across to the last 2 st, leave this rem 2 st unworked 4. row: ch 1,turn, sl. st in first 2 sts, ch3, dc in each st across to the last 2 st, leave this rem 2 st unworked 5. row, rem 3 dc, fasten off. Shape neck: in the same moment, when we begin to shape the armholes, we begin also to shape the neck: 1. row: ds in each st across, leave the middle 20 / 36 st unworked 2. row: ch 1, turn, sl st in first 6 sts, ch 3, dc in each st across to the last 6 st, leave this rem 6 st unworked 3. row: ch 1, turn, sl. st in first 3 sts, ch 3, , dc in each st across to the last 3 st, leave this rem 3 st unworked 4. row: ch 1, turn, sl. st in first 2 sts, ch 3, , dc in each st across to the last 2 st, leave this rem 2 st unworked 5. row: ch 1, turn, sl. st in first 2 sts, ch 3, , dc in each st across to the last 2 st, leave this rem 2 st unworked The second part of the back make in the same way and then make the front in the samewayas the STRAPS:MAKE $\pmb{2}\times$ : ch 71 and dc in the third ch from the hook , \*ch 1, skip 1 ch, 2 dc in next 2 st \* from \* till \* always repeat and end with ch 1, 2 dc, fasten off. FINISHING: sew the straps on the front and on the back. Across the armholes make 1 row sc and 1 row reverse sc. Across the whole neck and both straps make 1 row sc and 1 row of cluster: 1 sc in sc of the previous row, skip 2 st, 5 dc in the next sc, skip 2 sc of the previous row - repeats across the whole neck and both straps.
