Materials:
Yarn: 1 Skein Patons Beehive Baby Sport (359 Yards per skein Size H (5.omm) Crochet Hook Yarn Needle Optional: Large buttons or other embellishments Size: Teen/Adult Level of Difficulty: Advanced Beginner Gauge: Ribbing is 2.5" H x 16" L Abbreviations Used: CH - Chain SLST - Slip Stitch SC - Single Crochet HDC - Half Double Crochet BLO - Back Loop Only DSC - Double Single Crochet (http://newstitchaday.com/how-to-crochet-the double-single-crochet-stitch/) Notes: Join with SLST at end of each round. CH 1, CH 2 does NOT count as a stitch.

Ribbing Ch 15 Row 1: SC in 2nd CH from hook and in each CH across. (14 STS) Row 2-Row 78: CH 1, turn, in BLO SC in each across. (14 STS) SL ST short ends together INUw wui Ng " iounus. Round 1: CH 1, HDC in side of each row, SL ST to join. (78 STS) Round 2: CH 1, \*DSC, CH 1, SK 1, rep from \* join with SL ST to top of DSC. (78 STS) Round 3: CH 2 (this counts as a CH 1 space), SK next DSC, \*DSC in next CH 1 Space, CH 1, SK next DSC, rep from \* join with SL ST to beg CH-1 Space. (78 STS) Round 4: CH 1, DSC in beg CH-1 Space, \*CH 1, SK next DSC, DSC in next CH-1 Space, rep from \* join with SL ST to beg DSC. (78 STS) Round 5-2o: Repeat Round 3 & Round 4 alternating for BEANIE (measures 7" here) Round 5-28: Repeat Round 3 & Round 4 alternating for SLOUCHY (measures 9" here) NOTE: For more slouchy hat increase number of rounds before moving onto decreasing & closing top of hat section. Decreasing & Closing top of hat Round 1: CH 1, DSC in each CH-1 Space, SLST to beg DSC. (39 STS) Round 2: CH 1, HDCDEC around to last ST, HDC in last, SLST to beg HDCDEC. (20 STS) Leave long tail to sew top together. Weave long tail around top of hat and pull tight. Finish off and weave in ends.
