Preppy + Sassy
BELTS, BElTS and more BELTS! Knitting Pattern bundle for you!

Preppy and Sassy EYELASH belt!
The Knitty Details..
US knitting needles size 15, 17 or19 (use your desired size depending upon how many different yarns you use to make your belt) One $z^{,}$ or 3" bamboo belt buckle (or your desired size). I like the larger buckles with knit belts because of the texture. The belts look terrific when they are bold and bulky! The bamboo belt buckle has an extra piece of wood that goes across the buckle (see picture below):

Yarn used: For eyelash chunky belts I hold 4 strands of yarn together at one time. For this belt, I used 2 strands of lime green eyelash yarn and then 2 strands of a citrus pom pom eyelash yarn. BELTS are a great opportunity to make use of your yarn end stash! I used size 17 needles with this. $\circledcirc$ Tapestry needle

\* Belts make GREAT gifts because they are SO EASY to make. \* Basically when I cast on I have the belt buckle right in my lap. For this belt, I cast on 6 stitches and I continued knitting straight for 32 inches. Why 32 inches? Because that is the length my daughter needed! I usually knit an extra four inches at the end because I like to have the end hang out a bit. \* After you knit the appropriate length, cast off leaving an $\mathbf{18}^{,}$ tail. Thread the needle. \* Laying the end of the belt flat, place the strip across the belt buckle about 3/4" from the end of the knit belt. Then, fold over theat $\%^{\ast}$ piece around the strip on the buckle. Take your threaded needle and sew a sturdy seam. I typically go up and down each set of stitches back and forth two times. Weave in the ends and you have yourself an adorable, sassy belt!

Chunky and BULKY yarn belt!

? Yarn used: For these wool, chunky belts I hold 2 strands of yarn together at one time. For this belt, I used 2 strands of equinox stripes from Nashua Handknits. I love to choose a variegated wool, bulky yarn because you can see the color changes as you move around the finished belt! It just looks fabulous!I used size 17 needles with the two strands to knit this belt!

RAG BAG STYLE belt!
The Knitty Details..
US knitting needles size 17 or 19 or 35 (use your desired size depending upon how many different yarns you use to make your belt) One 3”" or 4" bamboo belt buckle (or your desired size).I like the larger buckles with knit belts because of the texture. C FABRIC AND FABRIC STRIP WIDTH: about 2 yards total of fabrics in desired color palette or completely random, make fabric strips approx. 1.25" wide to use with size 35 needles. If you want to use size 19 needles, make the fabric strips about 1'" wide. If you want to even go down one more size in needles to us size 17, make the fabric strips about 7/8" wide. A rule of thumb that I go by (only by making so many of these rag bag purses) is that the width of the fabric strip should be about the width of the knitting needle!!! For the BELT above I used size 1.24" strips and size 35 needles.

Prepare fabric for knitting. Follow the directions listed on the attached guide sheet (see page 5 in the hint and tip guide specifically)! The HINT and TIP GUIDE will tell you how to prepare the fabric to knit with!!! For this purse, I RANDOMLY tied a variety of fabrics together-there is NO pattern to how I tied the strips together! The result create some striping effect.
