Warm and Cozy Mitties
This pattern is for a teen/women's size. If you require a larger or smaller size, try a different hook size and/or adjust your thumb and finishing rounds accordingly.

Notes:
ch - chain st - stitch sl st - slip stitch hdc - half double crochet hdc2tog - half double crochet two stitches together Fpdc - front post double crochet Bpdc - back post double crochet \*repeat between the\* Gauge - approximately 3 rows and 3 hdc = 1"

To Begin:
Row 1 - Ch 7, hdc in the 3rd from the ch, hdc 3 times, 4 hdc in the last stitch, then working around the other side, hdc 3 times, then hdc 2 in the same stitch you started in. Sl st to join (14) Row 2 - Ch 1, 2 hdc in the next 2 sts, hdc 3 times, then 2 hdc in next 4 st, hdc 3 times, then 2 hdc in the next 2 st. DO NOT JOIN (22) Row 3-15 - hdc in each stitch. (22) STILL DO NOT JOIN \*\*Continue to the appropriate hand section\*\*\*
Left hand:
Row 16 - hdc 22, chain 6 and skip three stitches. Sl st into the next st. \*\*Continue to the Bottom Half\*\*
Right hand:
Row 16 - hdc 19, chain 6 and skip three stitches. Sl st into the next st. \*\*Continue to the Bottom Half\*\*
Bottom Half:
Row 1 - Starting in the stitch after the sl st, hdc in the next 18 stitches, then hdc 6 times into the thumk hole(24)DON'TJOIN Row 2-3 - hdc around (24) STILL DON'T JOIN @ Row 4 - \*hdc2tog, then hdc \* 4 times. Sl st to join. (20) Row 5 - Chain 2, starting in the same stitch as the ch, \*fpdc, bpdc\* around, and join. (10 fpdc, 10 bpdc) Row 6-8 - Repeat row 5. Sl st to join. Weave in all ends. You can always add more rows if you want it longer!
Thumb:
Don't join throughout this section

Row 1 - Join anywhere in the hole, and hdc 12 times. (12) Row 2 - \* hdc2tog, hdc 4\* around (8) Row 3 - hdc 50 times (l find it easier just to count 50 stitches instead of counting 6 rows plus 2 hdc) Row 4 - hdc2tog 4 times. Turn inside out to stitch and weave in ends (seal the hole).
