ABOUTTHEDESIGNER

Deb, designer of this pattern publication, also known as Debonair Designs, was born and raised in England, where her mom taught her the art of knitting at a tender young age. In 1991 she met and married her American husband while on vacation in the US, and has lived there ever since. Her first introduction to the popular American Girl Dolls came in 2006, since she was already knitting sweaters for teddy bears, her husband suggested she knit for these dolls too, and so began her love affair designing and knitting for dolls.

Today she can be found enjoying new territories after relocating to the evergreen state of Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, just across the Sound from Seattle, along with her husband, their two teenaged children and playful kitty cat, Ginger. I have learnt that something positive always grows out of every change as 2010 brought a new area for me and a passion to fulfill, that of putting pen to paper and woriting up knitting patterns for 18" dolls, thanks in large part to an awe-inspiring forum called Ravelry, that made this dream a reality. Today, not wanting to stagnate and always passionate to develop and/or improve upon designs, yet keeping an eye on fashion trends, is important to me. Having a loving support system of family and friends encourages my craft to new heights. I hope you have as much fun with this as I did creating it as a small tribute to the ravelry community in celebration of my fourth anniversary as a member, looking forward to many more years! \~ Deb For pattern support, please feel free to contact Deb with your comments and/or questions: Email: debonair@tekayintl.com Pleaserest mysignerrigts assuchDbnirDeigs is thexcluiecopyrihthldef this pulicatn, alng itits text, photos copyright 2014 Debonair Designs. this pattern is protected by copyright and offered for your non-commercial knitting pleasure
