Yarn: any worsted in the right colors (l used both Cascade 220 and Knit Picks Wool of the Andes) Needles: Double Point Needles in a size that gives you the best fabric for stuffing. (I used size 4) Notions: Yarn needle, 8mm black stuffed animal eyes kfb - knit stich in front and back (increase 1) yo- yarn over k2tog - knit two stitches together (decrease 1) CO - Cast on

Green Orb Shooter

Main Color (MC) - Light green Contrasting Color (CC) - Dark green

Shooter

With MC CO 6 stitches, put 2 stitches each on 3 needles. Round 1: Join in round and each Odd Row Knit Round 2: kfb each stitch, repeat around (12 stitches) Round 4: (k1, kfb) repeat around (18 stitches) Round 6: (k2, kfb) repeat around (24 stitches) Round 8: (k3, kfb) repeat around (30 stitches) Round 10: (k4, kfb) repeat around (36 stitches) Round 12: (k5, kfb) repeat around (42 stitches) Round 13-15: Knit Round 16: (k5, k2tog) repeat around (36 stitches) Round 18: (k4, k2tog) repeat around (30 stitches) Round 20: (k3, k2tog) repeat around (24 stitches) Round 22: (k2, k2tog) repeat around (18 stitches) Round 23-25: Knit Round 26: (k2, kfb) repeat around (24 stitches) Round 28: (k3, kfb) repeat around (30 stitches) Round 30: (k4, kfb) repeat around (36 stitches) Round 32: (k4, k2tog) repeat around (30 stitches) Round 34: (k3, k2tog) repeat around (24 stitches) Change to CC and stuff only the main "head" portion. (Ilf you leave a long enough tail of the MC you can use this to do the mouth shaping later.) Round 36: (k2, k2tog) repeat around (18 stitches) Round 36: (k1, k2tog) repeat around (12 stitches) Round 36: k2tog repeat around (6 stitches) Cut yarn and thread through all six stitches and pull tight. Use thread to invert end to make the concave portion. Push the mouth in and with your MC tail stitch semi-loose running stitches around the color change row to sew the mouth in place.

Stem

With CC CO 12 stitches. Put 4 stitches each on 3 needles. Leave a long enough tail to use to sew the pieces together. Join in round and knit 1 round. Next round: (k1, kfb) repeat around (18 stitches). Knit for 8 more rounds. (k1, k2tog) repeat around (12 stitches). Knit on these 12 stitches until stem is a total of 4 inches long. It is best to stuff the stem at this point. K2tog all around (6 stitches). Break yarn and thread through all six remaining stitches and pull tight. Tie off. Leaves (make 3) CO 12 Join and knit in round for 1 row. Round 2: (k1,kfb) repeat around (18 stitches) Round 3 and all odd rows Knit Round 4: (k2, kfb) repeat around (24 stitches) Round 6: (k3, kfb) repeat around (30 stitches) Round 7 - 15: Knit Round 16: (k3, k2tog) repeat around (24 stitches) Round 18: (k2, k2tog) repeat around (18 stitches) Round 20: (k1, k2tog) repeat around (12 stitches) Round 22: K2tog around. (6 stitches) Pull yarn through remaining stitches. Leaving a 12" tail lightly stuff and use that tail to do a running stitch down the middle from tip to end to give the center spine leaf definition.

Angry Green Orb Shooter

Knit the same as the Green Orb Shooter. Embroider "angry eyebrows" by making them face downward like a V.

Frozen Pea

Main Color (MC) - Light blue Contrasting Color (CC) - Dark blue Knit exactly the same as Green Orb Shooter except usingFrozenPea colors

Petals

CO 40 with CC1 - Yellow join in round and knit 3 rounds Round 4: k3, kfb repeat around (50 stitches) Round 5-7: Knit Round 8: k2tog, yo repeat around Round 9-11: Knit Fold at YO row and sew down to the back side to bind off each stitch. (Pick up bump on the back of the work, sew off stitch, pick up next bump, sew off stitch)

Flower Center

With MC CO 6 stitches, put 2 stitches each on 3 needles. Round 1: Join in round and each Odd Row Knit Round 2: kfb each stitch, repeat around (12 stitches) Round 4: (k1, kfb) repeat around (18 stitches) Round 6: (k2, kfb) repeat around (24 stitches) Round 8: (k3, kfb) repeat around (30 stitches) Round 10: (k4, kfb) repeat around (36 stitches) Round 12: (k5, kfb) repeat around (42 stitches) Round 13-15: Knit Round 16: (k5, k2tog) repeat around (36 stitches) Round 18: (k4, k2tog) repeat around (30 stitches) Round 20: (k3, k2tog) repeat around (24 stitches) Round 22: (k2, k2tog) repeat around (18 stitches) Round 24: (k1, k2tog) repeat around (12 stitches) Round 26: k2tog repeat around (6 stitches) Cut yarn and thread through all six stitches and pull tight. Finishing Details

Sew all pieces together weaving in ends as you go. For the armature, I used pipe cleaners/chenille stems. I ended up cutting them in half and putting one half in each leaf and the stem. Less than a yard of black is used for the sunflower mouth embroidery and the "angry" eyebrows on the Angry Orb Shooter
