1. Sheep Brooch

Scrap bits of white and black wool, DK weight 2.75mm crochet hook, or any hook that works well with your wool. (the bigger the hook, the bigger the brooch!) Needle Brooch fastening or a safety pin
Body and Fleece
Using white wool, make 5 ch, start 2nd ch from hook. Round 1: 1dc ineafirst 3 st, 3dc inlast st, working around the ch, ldc in ea next 2 st, 2dc in last st, sl st into first st to complete round (10 total) Round 2: lch (does not count as st), In Back Loops Only: 2dc in first st, 1dc in ea next 2 st, 2dc in ea next 3 st, 1dc in ea next2 st,2dc in ea last 2 st,sl st into first st to complete round (16 total) Round 3: lch (does not count as st), In Back Loops Only: 1dc in first st, 2dc in next st, 1dc in ea next 2 st, \*1dc in first st, 2dc in next st\* 3 times, 1dc in ea next 2 st, \*1dc in first st, 2dc in next st\* 2 times, sl st into first st to complete round (22 total) Round 4:Reversethedirectionof work, In FrontLoops Only: repeat \*3ch,sl st into next st\* all around the base, on last repeat sl st into the last Front Loop from Round 2. Pause here and add the feet, tail and face. Round 5 and 6: Working in Front loops of Round 2, repeat \*5ch, sl st into next st\* until returning tothecentrefoundationchain. Round 7: Working into the foundation chain, repeat \*5ch, sl st into the centre\* 3 times, fasten off.
Feet
Cut around 40cm of black wool, attach to the body between Rounds 4 and 5, \*make 4ch, start 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in ea ch, sl st into the body\*, sl st into the next stitch of the body, repeat from \*, feed the wool through to the back of the body, then pick it up again a stitch later, creating the gap between the pairs of legs, repeat from \* twice, fasten off.
Tail
Attach a little more black wool to the body between Rounds 4 and 5 in the upper right corner, make 4ch, start 2nd ch from hook, ldc in ea ch, sl st into the body and fasten off.
Face
Make 4ch, start 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in ea first 2st, 3dc in last st, working around the ch, 1dc in ea next 2 st, either sl st into the body between rounds 4 and 5, or fasten off and sew together. Embroider an eye or use a contrasting colour bead for the finishing touch.
Brooch Back
Make the same as Round 1-3 of Body. but work in Both Loops. Sew the back to the body, hide away any loose ends, add a safety pin or a brooch fastening to finish off.
2. Pug Brooch

You will need
Scraps of dark/black wool for a black pug. or beige and brown wool for a light pug. DK weight 2.75mm crochet hook, or any hook that works well with your wool. (the bigger the hook, the bigger the brooch!) Needle Brooch fastening or a safety pin Beads for eyes and some embroidery thread for nose and mouth.
Nose
Make a magic ring, work 5dc into the ring, tighten the ring, sl st to complete and fasten off.
Front
Make a magic ring
Round 1: Work 5 dc into the ring, tighten the ring, carry on working in a spiral (5 total) Round 2: Work 2dc into ea st around (10 total) Round 3: Work \*1dc in first st, 2dc in next st\* 5 times, make 7ch (22 total) Row 4: lch, ldc in ea ch, sl st into the first st of Rnd 3 (7 total) Row 5: 1ch, ldc in ea st (7 total) Row 6: 1ch, 1dc in ea st, 1dc in 2nd, 3rd and 4th stitches of Rnd 3 (10 total) Row 7: 1ch, ldc in ea st (10 total) Row 8: 4ch, start 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in each, sl st into 2nd to last st of Row 7, Isl st into ea next 4 st, 4ch, start 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in ea ch, sl st into the next st, sl st along the edge of rows bringing yarn closer to Rnd 3, carry on working along Rnd 3: \*1dc in ea next 2st, 2dc in next st\* 3 times, ldc in ea last 2 st, fasten off.
Back
Make a magic ring
Round 1: Row 7 worked the same as Front. Row 8: 1ch, 1sl in ea next 2 st, 4ch, start 2nd ch from hook, ldc in ea ch, 1 sl st into ea next 5 st, 4ch, start 2nd ch from hook, 1dc in ea ch, sl st into stitches along the edge of rows, carry on working along Rnd 3: 1dc in ea next 2 st, 2dc in next st, 1dc in next st, (1dc, 2ch, 4tr , 2ch) in next st, 1dc in ea next 2 st, (ldc, 2ch, 4tr , 2ch) in next st, 1dc in ea next 2 st, sl st into the start of 7ch from Rnd 3, sl st along the edge until reaching the tail.
Tail
Carrying on from the back, make 5ch, then finish the curl in the tail with 3 sl st into the front piece of the brooch. Sew the parts together, add fastening, eyes and nose and you're done!
