Flower Pot Flatware Pouch
For the purposes of this project work your Pop Corn Stitches using Half Double Crochets. Materials: Red Heart Super Saver - Cherry Red (Color A) - Approx. 25 yds Red Heart Super Saver - Bright Yellow (Color B) - Approx. 5 yds Size 13 Darning Needle H/8-5.00MM Abbreviations: TW - Turn Work sc - single crochet hdc - half double crochet dc - double crochet sl st - slip stitch ch(s) - chain(s) st(s) - stitch(s) rep - repeat GaugeSwatch 7 sts x 7 Rows = 2" x 2" swatch (Using single crochets) Finished Size of Project: Pot = 3.25"W x 4"H Flower = 1.5"W x 1.5"H Pot-Make 2 UsingColorA, Row 1: (base) Ch 8, TW, starting with third ch from hook, 2 sc in next ch, 1 sc in each of next 4 chs, 2 sc in next ch - 8 sts Row 2: Ch 2, TW, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st - 10 sts Rows 4-9: Ch 2, TW, 1 sc in each st to end of row -12 sts Row 10: Ch 2, TW, sc next 2 sts tog, 1 sc in each of next 8 sts, sc next 2 sts tog - 10 sts Row 11: Ch 2, TW, sc next 2 sts tog, 1 sc in each of next 6 sts, sc next 2 sts tog - 8 sts Row 12: Ch 2, TW, sc next 2 sts tog, 1 sc in each of next 4 sts, sc next 2 sts tog -6 sts Rows 13-15: Ch 2, TW, 1 sc in each st to end of row - 6 sts Row 16: Ch 2, TW, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in each of next 4 sts, 2 sc in next st - 8 sts Row 17: Ch 2, TW, \* 3 sc in next st, 1 sc in next st; rep from \* 3 more times - 16 sts Fasten off, leaving a 36" length on one of the two pieces. Line up the last stitch of Row 17 of one piece with the first stitch of Row 17 of the second piece. Align shapes and base ends of both pieces and use length to whip stitch around leaving Row 17 unattached. Turn completed Pot right side out. Flower Using Color B and leaving a 12" length, Rnd 1: Ch 3, sl st last ch to first ch to make loop Rnd 2: Ch 3, TW, work 5 popcorn stitches in center of loop, sl st last st to first st - 5 sts Fasten off. Tie off and weave in end. Use 12" length to whip stitch back of popcorn stitches to front center of pot. Tie off and weave in end.
