A simple but with bold results top down sweater design; features a circular yoke with a drop stitch design and single row striping. Matching striping for sleeve cuffs and bottom hem creates additional visual effect. Pattern instructions are indicated for the smallest size, with larger sizes appearing in parentheses. If there are no parentheses, the instruction applies to all sizes. To make those instructions easier to read, the sizes are identified by distinct colors. It's strongly encouraged that you read through the entire pattern before starting.

Sizes

6 months (12 months, 18 months, 2T, 4T, 6, 8).

Measurements

Chest: 16.5[19, 21, 23, 25.8, 27.7, 29.5] inches - underarm circumference. Suggested ease: Loose fitting, 1" positive ease.

Materials

Yarn: Spud & Chloe - Worsted 55% superwash Wool/45% organic cotton, 160yds per 100grams. Color A (main): 1 (1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4) Color B (trim): 1 (1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2)

Gauge

18 stitches and 26 rows in a 4x4 swatch.

Needles & Accessories

- Size US 7 16" circular \* - Size US 7 DNPs for working sleeves \* - Darning needle - Scrap yarn - 8 stitch markers \* or size to obtain gauge

Basic Abbreviations

BO - bind off CO - cast on k/p - knit/purl kfb -- knit into the front and back of a stitch m1 -- Raised increase - lift yarn between stitches and knit into loop PM/RM/SM - place marker/remove marker/slip marker PU - pickup stitch. st(s) - stitch(es) Sl - slip stitch knitwise

Collar

With size 7 needles and main color A, CO 48 (56, 56, 56, 64, 64, 64) sts, PM, and join to knit in the round. Work a [k2, p2] ribbing for 5 rounds. SM, \* k 6 (7, 7, 7,8, 8, 8), PM; repeat \* a total of 7 times, k 6 (7, 7, 7, 8, 8, 8).

Yoke

Assume all markers are slipped as you come to them. Round 1 - B: [SM, sl1, k6] 8 times. Round 2 - A: K all sts. Round 3 - B: [Sl1, yo, k to next marker, yo] 8 times. Round 4 - A: K all sts. When knitting into a yo stitch, twist the stitch to close the hole. Repeat Rounds 1-4 4 (5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10) more times. 128 (152, 168, 184, 208, 224, 240) sts. Work Round 3 one more time.

With main color A: RM, [k to next marker, RM, k to next marker, RM, k1, CO 2 sts, begin to slip sts to scrap yarn, RM, continue to slip sts until marker, RM] twice. 70 (82, 90, 98, 110, 118, 126) sts 0n needles. After this division you should have two slices per sleeve, two slices for the front and two slices for the back. The slip stitch columns along edges of the sleeves are knit together with thebody. Continue working stst in the round until sweater measures 9 (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15) inches from neck to hem. Work defined ribbing pattern for hem.

Sleeves

Slip sts from scrap yarn onto needles, placing a marker directly under the armpit. Round 1: K Round 2: K1, k2tog, k to 3 sts before end of round, ssk, k1. Repeat Rounds 1-2 once more. Work stst until sleeve measures 5.5 (6.25, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9) inches or 1.5" from desired sleeve length. Work defined ribbing pattern for cuffs.

Hem & Cuff Pattern

Round 1 - A: [kl, p1] Round 2 - B: [kl, p1] Repeat Rounds 1-2 3 times. Repeat Round 1 once more. Bind off with color B. Striped Circular Yoke Droppedstitchcolumns
