Materials
Size 2 (2.75mm) 32 inch circular needle or a set of double pointed needles Size 3 (3.25mm) 32 inch circular needle or a set of double pointed needles Silk Bamboo by Patons: 70% Bamboo 30% Silk, DK 8 ply (11wpi), 102 yards per 65 gram skein You will need two skeins. Stitch markers
Notes
The pattern stitch repeat (Chart A) is worked over 14 stitches. Three repeats measure 6 1/2 inches. The piece will stretch, comfortably, to fit up to a 7 1/2 inch wrist. To accommodate a larger wrist, I recommend either adding a 4th repeat by casting on an additional 14 stitches (2 1/4 inches per repeat) or going up needle sizes. Garter stitch is used at the top and bottom edge of the glove and at the top of the thumb. Worked in the round, garter stitch alternates rounds of knit and purl. The pattern willspecify the number of rounds of garter stitch and whether to start with a knit round or a purl round.
Gauge
Knit pattern according to directions below. Reaching the end of round 20, the piece should measure approximately 2 1/2 inches high by 6 1/2 inches around.
Beginning
On a Size 2 (2.75mm) needles, using long tail cast on (or your preferred method) loosely cast on 42 stitches. Divide evenly on needles and join in the round being careful to not twist stitches.
Wrist
Work 4 rounds of garter stitch starting with a knit round. Work measures approximately one half inch. Continue by working rows 5 through 20 of chart A. Then, work rows 1 through 20 of chart A. Piece measures 5 inches.

Thumb
Set up for Thumb Gusset
Continue knitting according to Chart A, beginning on row 1- except on the first row, knit in the front and back of the first stitch. Place a marker between the two stitches worked. Continue in Chart A to end of round. On the next round (row 2 of Chart A), knit three stitches in the first stitch by knitting in the front, back, and front of the stitch. This is the beginning of the thumb gusset. Slip Marker and continue the hand according to Chart A.
Thumb Gusset
You will now begin knitting the thumb gusset according to the Thumb Gusset Chart. At the same time, continue knitting the hand according to Chart A. You'll be on row three of Chart A. The thumb gusset chart rows are numbered to correspond with the row numbers of chart A. Upon completion of the thumb gusset chart, leaving the hand stitches on the size 2 needles, switch to size 3 needles and begin working the 14 thumb stitches in the round according to rows 15 through 20 of Chart A. Upon completion of those 6 rounds, work 4 rounds of garter stitch, starting with a purl round. Bind off thumb stitches loosely. I used Jenny's Stretchy Bind Off
Hand
Using size two needles, before you begin knitting, pick up 4 stitches from the thumb. Place marker. These stitches are not incorporated into Chart A and will be decreased over the following three rounds. You will continue knitting the hand stitches by starting on stitch 1, row 5 of Chart A. On the next round, decrease the 4 stitches you picked up from the thumb by knitting two together, twice. Knit hand stitches according to row 6 of Chart A. On the next round, decrease the two stitches picked up from the thumb by knitting two together. Knit hand stitches according to row 7 of Chart A. For the final decrease round, you will remove the marker and purl the one remaining stitch picked up from the thumb together with the first stitch of row 8, Chart A. Continue knitting hand stitches according to Chart A, completing row 20. If you desire a longer hand, continue in Chart A, finishing on row 10 or row 20.
Finishing

Work 3 rounds of garter stitch, starting with a purl round. Loosely bind off knit wise. Note: I did NOT use Jenny 's Stretchy Bind Off for the hand. It gave it a flare and rolled the hand outwards. So, I don't recommend that particular bind offmethod for this part. Weave inends. Block if desired.
