Pacman Pillowca5
by Tashyy This pattern was intended to be a pillowcase, but when I was finished with the chart I saw that it would be big. So with small needles it's a big pillowcase and with bigger needles it's a small afghan. It can be done with duplicate stitch, intarsia or what ever method you prefer. It can be worked flat or in the round and then steeked flat, or in the round with front and back at the same time. You can even use crochet or tunisian crochet if you want to. Note: This is not a complete pattern, it's mostly just a (huge!) chart.
Gauge
Chart
Use any yarn and needles you want to; the important thing is that the ratio between row and stitch count is close to 1,5 (divide number of rows in 10 cm (4") by number of stitches in 10 cm (4")), otherwise the pattern will look Wrong. With 2 mm needles and thin sock yarn at a gauge of 31 stitches and 48 rows in 10 cm (4"), the labyrinth will be approx 72 cm (28") wide and 56 cm (22") high. With 4 mm needles and DK yarn at a gauge of 20 stitches and 32 rows in 10 cm (4"), the labyrinth will be approx 112 cm (44") wide and 84 cm (33") high. The labyrinth is 224 stitches and 270 rows. The chart is divided up into 6 parts and they go together like shown below. Row and stitch numbering start in lower right corner (in part 2C). The background is supposed to be black, but in the chart it's white to save your printer some work and to make it easier to read. The dots are supposed to be white, but are shown in dark gray (otherwise you wouldn't see them on the white background!) and the eyes of the ghosts are also supposed to be white but are shown in a light gray with punctuation marks for the same reasons as the dots.
