To make tassels
Cut pieces of yarn to desired length. I like to do mine at least 12in long. Use 2 colors or just 1 color, get at least 16 pieces all together. Holding strands together, fold in half and push through the middle of the last row of the earflap, between two dcs far enough to give you a little loop. Bring the ends of the yarn strands through the loop and tie a knot. Braid the strands and tie off at the bottom of the braid.
To make mane
Cut several pieces of yarn about 4 inches long. Stick a crochet hook through the hat along the last row at the bottom of the hat.

Fold 3 or 4 yarn strands in half and place them over your hook as shown in the 1st picture. Pull them through the hat creating a loop and leaving the ends still sticking out the wrong side of the hat as shown in the 2nd picture. Grab the ends of the yarn pieces with your hook and pull through the loop as shown in the 3rd picture. Tie a knot and trim to

desired length. Repeat the process until the mane is as full as you would like. Please do not sell this pattern as you own. You may sell what you create but please givecreditbackwhere it is due
