Pattern
Cthulhu's head, body, hands and legs are crocheted in the round.
Head
Ch 10 sts, join to first sc. Continue working in round, increase 1 sc on both sides of the head 8 times (1 time on both sides/round), until you have 26 sc total. Try to keep the increases on the same spot every round (increase always on forehead and keep 4 sc between increased sts). When you have 26 sc total, start decreasing. Start from the forehead, sc3tog on 6 rounds, then continue decreasing as usual (sc2tog) until the hole is shut. Fasten off and stuff.
Body
Use the neck stitches as a base for crocheting the body. Starting from the neck, work 3 rounds repeating \*inc1sc, inc2sc\* until you have 30 sc total. Work in the round until the body is a bit longer than the head. Then start decreasing: sc2tog until the hole is almost shut. Stuff the body and sc2tog again until the hole is completely shut. Fasten off and weave in ends.
Hands and legs
$^{*}\mathrm{Ch}\;10$ stsjontsil tthsfta tilt shut. Fasten off, stuff and sew to body.\* Repeat 4 times.
Tentacles
Starting from the bottom of the head, ch 10 sts. Pull the yarn through Cthulhu's jaw, leave $10\;\mathrm{cm}$ tail and ch approx. 3-5 cm more. Cut the yarn and weave in ends. Repeat 4 times or until the head looks good. Weave the tails of chains inside the tentacles.
Wings
Start the right side wing from the backside of the body in the middle and slightly to the right. Attach the yarn to the body and ch 8 sts using both the yarn and the tail. Turn around. Work the row back and add 1 sc on the body below the starting point. Leave the tail and turn around, work 5 sc and ch 3 sts more. Turn around. Work 1 sl st on the body. Turn around. Work 3 sc and ch 3 sts more. Turn around. Work all se's and, using I sc, join to body. Weave in ends.

Work the other wing as a mirror image. Embroider Cthulhu's eyes with black thread.
