ed with a strand of thread weight cotton and a strand of metallic thread. Add a dash ? dazzle to your holidays with this beautiful ornament.

Materials needed:
100% Cotton Crochet Thread, size 10 Metallic Blending Filament or Metallic EmbroideryThread Size D Crochet Hook (or size needed to achieve the desired look...) Tapestry Needle Gauge: Not critical for this project.
Special Techniques:
Picot: Chain 4. Sl st into the first chain to complete the picot.
Instructions:
Work with the cotton thread and the metallic filament held together as if they are one strand. Make a slip knot and place it on the hook. Ch 4. Sl st in the first chain to form a ring. Round 1: Ch 4 (counts as first dc, ch 1). [Dc, ch 1] in ring 7 times. Sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch 4. Sl st in next ch 1 space. (8 stitches total) Round 2: Ch 3. Dc in same ch 1 space. Ch 2. \*[2 dc, ch 2] in next ch 1 space. Repeat from \* 6 times. Sl st in top of beg ch 3. Sl st in next dc and in next ch 2 space. Round 3: Ch 3. 2 dc in same ch 2 space. Ch 3. \*[3 dc, ch3] in next ch 2 space. Repeat from \* 6 times. Sl st in top of beg ch 3. Sl st in next 2 dc and in next ch 3 space. Round 4: Ch 3. [Dc, picot, 2 dc] in the first ch 3 space. \* Ch 2. Skip nearest dc and sl st in the next dc. Ch 2. [2 dc, picot, 2 dc] in the next ch 3 space. Repeat from \* 6 times. Ch 2. Skip nearest dc and sl st in the next dc. Ch 2. Sl st in top of beg ch 3. Fasten off. Using the needle, weave in all ends. Cut a 6" length of the metallic filament. Thread it into the needle. Pull the filament/thread through one of the points of the star. Tie the two ends together in an overhand knot to create a hanging loop. Hang the star on a branch on your Christmas tree. Happy Holidays!
