Finished size: 13" L x 11"W Materials used: Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Banana Berry (color A), Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Turqua (color B), Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Pale Yellow (color C), turquoise yarn with sequins\*\* (color D). These are the colors that I used - feel free to use your own. ·Size H crochet hook ·Yarn Needle Optional: Sew in a fabric liner \*\* About color D. I have Googled to try and find the brand name of the yarn that I used but cannot locate it. When I bought it, my 4 year old son tore off the label. I do know that I bought it at Michael's.

Squares
Make 10 with color A and 8 with color B Round 1: Starting with a magic ring, 16 sc in ring. Pull tail to slightly tighten. (be careful to not over tighthen. Round 2: \* 1 sc, ch 10, sk 3 sc. \* Repeat from \* to \* 3 more times. Round 3: \* 11 sc in the 10 ch sp from previous round, 1 sc in next sc. \* Repeat from \* to \* for each 10 chsp. Round 4: \* 1 sc in each of next 6 sts, 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next 5 sts. \* Repeat from \* to \* around. Round 5: 1 sc in each st and 2 sc at each corner. Fasten off and weave in ends. Top Border Make two using color D. Ch 48 Row 1: DC in 4" ch and in each st across. Ch 1, turn. Row 2: SC in each DC across. Ch 2, turn. Row 3: \* FPHDC around dc from row 1, dc in next sc. \* Repeat from \* to \* to end of row. Ch 1, turn. Row 4: 1 sc in each st across. Fasten off, weave in ends. Sew the squares to the border in the following pattern: Row 1 - Color A Block, Color B Block, Color A Block Row 2 - Color B Block, Color A Block, Color B Block Row 3 - Color A Block, Color B Block, Color A Block Repeat this for the other side of the tote. (This will be referred to below as a completed panel.)
Sides
Row 1: Join color C at the bottom corner of one of the completed panels. SC all the way across but do no sc across the side of the border. Ch 2, turn. Row 2: HDC across in each sc from the previous row. Ch 2, turn. Rows 3 & 4: HDC in each hdc from previous row. Ch 1, turn. Row 5: Now, match the other completed panel to the previously completed 4 rows. SC in the previous row of HDCs AND the edge of 2"d completed panel, joining the two sides. Repeat for the other side and the bottom. Strap Use color D Ch 84. Sk 2 ch. \* Insert hook in next ch, yo, draw through a loop, insert hook in next ch, yo, draw through a loop, yo, draw through 3 loops. \* Repeat from \* to \* but start each new st by inserting hook first in st where 2"d yo was made for previous st.
